I opened every pack of Pokemon cards from the XY era. These Pokemon cards have become very nostalgic to me and I thought this would be the perfect Pokemon cards opening. I also opened a $350 XY premium Pokemon cards box.

about 5-6 years ago, my local walmart had these on clearance for like $75. I sadly did not pick one up because I thought it was dumb it only had 2 booster packs. I had got back into Pokemon via Generations so I didn't have a clue about the full art Pokemon/trainer cards. I still kick myself at times for not getting one.

This is so exciting! Phantom Forces was the set that got me back into collecting cards all those years ago. But it is so impossible to come across now, it's never in any old tins or collection boxes and an ETB goes for like $1000.

My favourite set of all time is tied between primal clash and xy evolutions, they’re both really good sets, I love kyogre so I’ve always lived primal clash, but the xy evoloutions bring back so many memories

I bough that collection box from my local card/board game store when Shining Fates came out and payed like 200cad! I was so excited because I had decided to try and complete Flash Fire and Primal Clash, two sets I had a good amount of cards for when they first came out! (Still working on those sets, btw.) I got a Full art Kyogre from the Primal Clash pack! It's a gooood box.

It feels so weird to hear the phrase, "XY is pretty old now" when it was my first true generation that I fully experienced, I remember being in third grade and seeing Megas for the first time, watching my friend open his binder filled with rare cards and the big three megas, Charizard X, Charizard Y, and Rayquaza, I remember opening up the Primal Clash Ocean's Core deck, and then the Ancient Origins Elite trainer box, I still get so mad at myself remembering when I traded my full art MegaSceptile EX for a Mega Lucario EX. And as someone who battles a lot, it feels weird to see EX's and Megas being obsolete in the face of V's and Vmax's. Heck, even Gx's get kinda swiped by them
