I can tell by the way your describing smells you get out of some perfumes that your nose is still developing (yes thats at thing at least in my experience) so i think what your doing by sample is a good thing your on the right track! for example when i first smelled Olene by Diptyque the white flowers in it smelled like moth balls to my nose and i thought why in the world would someone wanna smell like moth balls!? later after i had tried a lot of different perfumes i was at the Diptyque perfume counter smelling fragrances and without realizing it at first really liked Olene enough to get a sample and soon realized omg this is the one i thought smelled like moth balls but now it smelled lovely to my nose. not sure what happens with ones nose as one keep exploring scents but my nose did develop it was like i couldn't smell the true smell of some types of fragrance notes until my nose could get past some auto pilot association response so to speak to smell the true smell. Point being don't be surprised if smell some perfumes later and really like them when you didn't before. knowing your nose may be still getting use to certain types of notes before you can truly smell them for what they truly a are would have been helpful for me to know early in my journey so just sharing that for some people who are new and may not be aware.

I don’t know if you are interested in purchasing, but wanted to share that I saw a recent video by Lauren Mae Fragrance in which she was able to purchase a bottle of YSL Babycat. There's something interesting about Nishane Ani- in cold weather I couldnt really get many of the notes. I have had it sitting for 6 months and it got to 70 degrees here. I tried it on again and its very nice and completely different on me. This reminds me of Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo - claims to be a winter scent but it isnt at all. In summer it blossoms! Same with Alexandre J The Majestic. Those bitter almond cherry notes are spectacular in warmer weather - dont show up in the cold. Not all scents which are called "winter" actually are.

I have a couple of decants of Bianco Latte. I may buy a bottle at some point. I bought a bottle of Rifaaqat, which is a dupe of Babycat...and thought that would have to do me. Then, I found Babycat on Scent Split, bought a 5 ml decant and thought that would have to last me because I LOVE it...but two weeks later, I bought the 9 ml decant from Scent Split. I still LOVED it but it's so danged hard to find...and I had even emailed YSL Corporate in the USA right after Christmas and they had answered that Babycat was discontinued...so I was steeled that these decants were miracles that would be saved for special occasions. One Saturday morning, I watched a video by a KZbinr I follow, and she mentioned that she had gotten a bottle of Babycat from Fragrance-Lord in New Jersey. I looked it up, they had it in stock at a good price for what it is (private line YSL...price compares to any designer house's private line), so I ordered it. Not only did it ship out THAT day--a Saturday--but they had a sale code on their website banner that applied, and I received it three days later, on Tuesday. Unexpectedly, they also sent a gift with purchase, some embroidered Lancôme hand towels, so the whole experience was above and beyond. I recommend Fragrance-Lord highly, especially if you want a bottle of Babycat. I have since learned that there has been some litigation regarding the formula, but it appears to have been resolved now. That was one happy ending but I had another about the same time...and that was finding a source for Miss Dior 2017...long out of production...but that I just found out about. I'm a real sleuthing hounddog when it comes to searching out discontinued or hard-to-find fragrances, but I now own 180 mils of Miss Dior 2017, and I'm a very happy girl.

Living vicariously through you! I have a large sampling wishlist costing AUD $500😅🤣 I’ve crossed it down to $200. How many days use do you get out of 2ml? How many sprays per day do you use? I’ve only ever tried 5ml decants and trying to gauge if 2ml will be enough to wear properly for a couple of days😊

Haha can relate!!! My first order last year was about $200 ish... then I went overboard this year.. but I reduced a lot from 2ml to 1ml so I could get more perfumes... but the vials are so annoying to use! I am also now wondering if the performance of the perfume is different versus if it is sprayed normally from a larger vial! I have just used up the Bianco Latte in 2ml and I am fairly certain I had 4 days out of it...but on day two I went nuts. I typically spray on each wrist, crook of the elbows, behind each ear, on each collarbone, and once on the decolletage... so if you spray less than that you might get 5-6 days...😊

Great choices! Try Vanagloria, very similar to Babycat , maybe slightly less peppery/rubbery - was released first and made by the same perfumer...

I loved Bianco latte bought it from Oz fragrances and there's another nische scents Australian based decant companies. I don't like Killian's angel share! I prefer khamrah the arabic version. Try oud tonka by Swiss arabian gourmand and you might like teriaq by lattafa by Quentin bish

The way that fragrance youtubers describe a scent makes me think I have to have it 😅 Especially when they use words & pharses like "delicious" 😋"intoxicating"😶‍🌫️, "mouth-watering"🤤 or "divine"🙌🏾. Blind buys that I've taken an L on: Kilian Angels Share Kilian Intoxicated Fresh cream warm cashmere Narciso Rodriguez Poudre Mont blanc signature Commodity Velvet Clean Skin Jlo glo (dont judgeme I was looking for a clean summer scent 😩) My only 2 successful blind blind buys are MFK Gentle fluidity & Brown girl jane DUSK 😍
