From a host perspective he should have ordered more food. It’s okay to have left over food. It’s not okay to be short.

I think I would have shown consideration to the bride and groom. If i wanted pizza i would have eaten some in my car or somewhere very discreet. The in-laws were rude to the other guests and caused humiliation to the couple by creating the problem. By ordering pizza and eating it in the event itself just caused even more humiliation for the couple. If it was me i could not do that to them. And no ine was going to die of starvation by allowing the couple to feel all was well. Now what wedding day memories do they hold? Totally unfair. That was a lot of guests who should not have been there... they weren't true friends, nor loving family members.
