i think that they were also made so that the track wasnt as restricted as it would be, because if they werent on bearings you would get stuck up against them

For your question about difference/usage between Altitude and Height in your cable management video. Height is the word to measure vertical LENGTH eg. this tree is 10m in height. Altitude is the word to measure vertical DISTANCE, so the bird at the top is at an altitude of 10m. Hope this is easy enough to understand, and sorry if this is in the wrong comment section, I just thought it would be easier to contact you from your latest video.

A mountain 1000 meters in height is a decently sized mountain. A mountain 1000m in altitude means you're in Pandora.

Absolutely continue the series after a 4th. Personally. I'd love to see a longer course with more obstacles like the turntable and tilting bridge in a future one, and maybe an urban / rubble theme where you climb into destroyed buildings.

Btw I think your rocker wheels need more suspension to push them into the ground. It would go off the block where the bearing is attached, so it doesn't cancel out the original one, but that way the wheels have more than gravity just keeping them in contact with the ground. Would be cool to see ya try to do that 1-5-30 minute build with an off-roaders though.

I love that your vehicle completed the hard challenge only 2 seconds slower than the base vehicle completed the easy one.

I'm finally getting into Scrap Mechanic, and I forgot how hard it is to get used to the building. Watching Scrapman's videos made me think I could build cool stuff automatically. Learning the hard way that's not the case.

It would be really cool to have 2 short pieces of suspension, one purposefully weak enough to always be just barely compressed and the other to just barely not be compressed. This way, you would have both a lot of wheel movement, and constant grip, unlike with either option by itself. It would be more like a real cars suspension where it still has room to travel both upwards and downwards when sitting stationary.

Would have liked to see the pivot steering version with the more lax width limitation of 12 blocks, but the tanks steering probably made it a lot more user-friendly. There probably would have been some slippage with pivot steering.

6:28 and when the logic is positive it's blue and when negative red and a logic mode called "invert" which inverts the polarity of the input, all logic would default to positive

This new vehicle you've made is super cool! However, why don't you try limiting yourself to a smaller number of materials, and having to gather them on your own? Like in survival mode? In a multiplayer Monday? Ooh, sounds like the one thing I've been suggesting for the past 130 days! Day 130 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races their builds

I had the biggest fail on a crawler course... I did a couple of these crawler courses and decided to do a full double wishbone build with steering rack, height adjustable, ect... took me about 1.5-2 hrs. I pretty much one-shot the course but hit one cone in my 1st run... and then restarted instead of resetting.... yeah that sucked lol

Third time asking scrap man to have rock climbing multiplayer Monday! Everyone builds a rock climbing course, then them all attach together. Then everyone builds a rock crawler and see who gets the best time.

I wonder if there would be any sections where having wheels you built yourself out of blocks would be helpful. Like maybe in certain scenarios they would act like gears and give you better traction on steep slopers. However, I still think wheels would be probably better for the majority and for the course overall.

To keep all the wheels down just have only 4 wheels powered when turning. Also with the 2 wheels on the teeter-totter axel... the shocks are typically on the teeter-totter and not on the pivot point. That would help the wheels from lifting too.

it's easy to make the vehicle narrower. Because you got the bogey you can hang the suspension from the front/back and the bottom block will just slide up and down in a "cradle"

You couldve made an indipendent 4 wheel steering system with a (weak) suspension glitch on the main body so it always stays upright.

The bad thing with rockers is that they dont like rotating downward because the engines are rotating the wheels forward.

What happened on the hard course with the prebuilt vehicle? That's why rock crawler's have low gears and go slow, cause the faster you go the more prone you are to tip over.

You can make even width steering, it's as simple as putting 2 bearings together then connect the 2 bearings.

Having the ability to force the rock of the fromt wheel suspension would have really helped i think, but that didnt really matter, very fun video :)

With the volute spring type of suspension that you're running in the front - You could try running the spring more forward/backward to increase pressure without losing articulation.

On one of your ydib's, someone asked you to put a bearing in the middle of truck for added articulation. Might think about trying that again in a design. Also saw a unique suspension design. Each set of wheels are connected with a single bearing in the middle for articulation. Suspension was basically located next to the bearing. Then he ran the 'axle' through the suspension using the suspensions non physics and curved down and out for turning. I think 3 center lined bearings will give you massive articulation and keep all wheels down on the ground.

I haven't watched all the video yet but I think Scrapman's vehicle is going to hurt him cause I think it's too long, due to certain areas have such a tight space and it's also too wide, that's why the builder said 10 blocks due to really tight areas such as the trees.

everytime i watch you do a video on one of these rock crawling challenges theres always a point where your driving up but your vehicle starts lifting from the front and it seems like could be fixed pretty easily by just adding a piston or two on the bottom of the vehicle so they can just push you up like hydraulics on drag cars or something (edit: actually im pretty sure you could just cheese the whole course by making a piston hydraulic system that just lifts your car over the whole course or make them fast enough to make you jump to the finish.)
