You spent $1K on mostly common/uncommon mass produced mainstream titles? 🤔 My gawd are ppl rubes now... or maybe it's that resellers are scummy and taking advantage of excited people who really don't understand the history of the market or actual rarity versus claimed rarity they see online and associate with current pricing. I ran one of the earliest (and very successful) mom & pop videogame shops in the mid/late 90s until 2014. We were also selling online before our competitors in the every early days of websites and eBay. As a result I ended up with my own massive collection too (perk of the job). Most of these games we (especially the Silent Hills) we got every other week. Had a nice stack of Origins and Shattered Memories in our PS2 selection that took forever to move in 2014, for $29.99 and 34.99 respectively (I remember these things). I expected stuff like Policenauts, Snatcher, Tales of Destiny II (US), a Sealed GBA Micro, Suikoden II or Panzer Dragoon Saga.... or even a nice big lot of commons. Instead I see a guy who got ripped off because he's comparing to inflated speculator bubble pricing and eBay. If you had waited a few more years, all this stuff would be back to 2014 pricing. There is a reason GameStop and all these mom and pop stores are closing as we speak in Jan of 2025. People aren't buying and speculators and stores are full of stock they are going to have to start liquidating and reselling for less. I only know, because I have personally owned every one of these games time and time and again, and was selling these things before you were probably born (or were a small kid). But its your money, so if your happy then that's what matters - no shade. I'm mostly pointing out that you massively over paid and could have waited and bought far more. Which for $1K at a yard sale for mostly common and uncommon titles... you DEFINITELY deserved to do MUCH better. I also wanted to point out that Silent Hill you purchased is the Black label, which isn't that valuable or worth it. You want that Greatest Hits version (IT is the valuable edition). If you paid ALOT for the black label, then you were ripped off. It's the GH version that costs a lot (green art) because it's actually a directors cut with all the Xbox versions content, a alternate scenario, and the ability to change the controls (I believe you can turn off static in that version too?).
