I have been told by some one to do the same thing you said to do in the video. However, seeing your journey. It just hits different for me. Thank you for sharing. I have gotten so much from this.

Just found your channel, the improvement here is insane! I was sort of in a rut in 2022 but I'm ready to tackle this year with the same enthusiam to grow my art

That was absolutely inspiring. In fact I’m inspired to set the same goal. I agree with you that one needs to put in the reps. I’m a year in to this journey and I’m 55. I paint daily, try to paint from life and paint outdoors once a week. I bought a bust but became frustrated painting it. I was painting directly and wet into wet and things where not what I wanted. But your point about painting in layers resonates with me. Thanks for the video, you made a difference

Cool to see the progress of this particular project all in a single video, the first effort and the professional end result.

Awesome progress and so glad you didn't give up. Love how the most recent bust turned out.

Awesome man! I've been working on a video project for weeks now, finally using a decent editing software. I thought about you several times throughout because I kept thinking "default on action". Now it's done and I'm experiencing super shitty WIFI to upload it but that's cool. Your project almost jumped off the canvas when you put that finishing coat on top. Great work

Your philosophy on painting is so stoic that Marcus Aurelius himself would be proud.

Good video. *Using* a 2d image ( *a photograph* ) as a *reference* and *drawing* using that photo..... But *How about* repeatedly drawing from a 3d object ?. Grab any 3d household item and *draw* that *real life item* over and over.... And then *see the huge improvement* Stay happy everyone.
