7:00 they probably asked for people to wear bright colors because its hard to see the details and all the movements clearly when you dance if you're in all black or dark colors, thats why i usually wear light grey during auditions lol

That’s incorrect. It’s better to wear all black. In formal auditions, you wear dull clothing that’s form fitting (to see “details”) because bright clothing distracts from the skill being performed. If ever in doubt, always default to form fitting black clothing for an audition unless told otherwise. They probably wanted bright colours for this just because it’s a special audition, it’s harder to focus specifically on dancing when you’re wearing bright clothes but I’ve had auditions where you wear black and then the callback is something different

@@KawaiiKermit thats incorrect. form fitting yes, but bright clothing does not distract from the performance. you're thinking of colorful, if you're wearing neon green and neon orange then yes it looks distracting and the judges will likely consider it to be unprofessional but bright colors like a bright light pink or white or pastel yellow will not distract from anything and are MUCH better to wear than black. im saying this as someone whos been dancing for years but judges are not gonna be able to see all the little details if you wear all black, never wear all black, i dont even recommend wearing black for anything other than your shoes. black will hide all your hard work especially if its baggy in any way. wear form fitting or loose if thats what you prefer but NOT black

As far as i know, she only did that to one other girl in my group (10 girls) and it still wasn’t as energetic as mine. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not, but we shall see. I find out my result within the next month‼️

Here's more info iland auditions: Actually I know quite a few people who received the same email, almost all the people who lived in the area where their onsite auditions were going to be held were invited (including people of various ethnicities & nationalities), the dates for LA were 19th & 20th of August (they made 20th one on zoom. They also did auditions in other parts, like Berlin and London in September. Also if I remember right, people could also do either walk in or register directly for the onsite iland ones without applying online like you did.

I don’t think it was a 2nd round thing as I got it too (Defo auditioned for fun it was NOT GOOD 💀) I think they just want to see you in person if you write that you live in an area that had a live audition in it (if that makes sense)

u didn’t pass the first round those emails were basically just invites to the ppl who did the online audition and most ppl (myself included) got that same email😭 everyone thought they were passing emails at first but they weren’t bc they were also sent out to the ppl who preregistered for the in person auditions. so the “2nd audition” was the first round of im person auds😭 they made it sound confusing by saying 2nd audition tho lmao

Almost all the contestants are already trainees so I don’t think they were taking the auditions seriously because the girls were chosen from their companies/dance academies which is shitty of them to waste peoples time and get their hopes up. Well done, it’s hard to pass such big auditions like this (20k+ applicants globally), they definitely only wanted full Korean, Japanese and that 1 lucky Malaysian girl. Wonder if it’s going to be rigged like other shows since the auditions already got off to a bad start with how they basically ignored all the international applicants (literally all girls who aren’t from companies are Korean with maybe a handful from Japan)

What do you expect when it comes from mnet? mnet has always focused on creating girl groups with korean girls for their k-market, and they only organize them for nothing, you know what I mean, they just do it just to get attention, If we're talking about truly global, we should look at universeticket (but that program is still rigged). Of course they will still take contestants from related companies and have been trained for several years, they don't take girls who only pursue kpop through certain things and give up halfway

You can see that the 24 trainees of iland 2 are also talented and have their own temperament. We should study carefully and look at what mnet is doing. If the contestants do not pass the audition, it means that they don't meet the standards set by mnet, you know I-land 2 will be very harsh, and you know it also contains a ghost inside that haunted building. iland 2 basically has their own voting system

@@od18191. I don’t believe in ghosts and that is totally irrelevant lmao 2. Read my comment. They made an international audition for NON-trainees. 20k + people auditioned. And they chose people who were ALREADY trainees or in dance academies (I go to one of the academies for dance and vocal training in my free time). These girls were at an advantage because they auditioned through their company connections and were more likely to make it through and you can audition through the academies with these companies so they stand out a lot more than some foreigner who has 0 professional experience. They knew what they were doing and likely had a selection already in mind with the look of the girls they wanted. The Malaysian girl is frankly lucky to even get a shot because the rest are Korean or Japanese and of the non-trainees who passed, the majority of them have prior experience in the industry like training at known academies/modelling/ acting. What I said in my comment is that they clearly weren’t taking global auditions very seriously and I have actual trainee experience and experience in filming. These shows aren’t about talent and skill. The producers will have a certain concept and will be looking only for people who fit that aesthetic. That is why the global audition was a bit sneaky because they KNEW what they were looking for which is why they chose Koreans and Japanese ppl. They should’ve just held auditions in America, Korea, Japan, and sea because there is a lot less diversity this time vs the first season of the show. It seems the Malaysian girl was the token diversity pick. They’re all worthy, but the producers shouldve done a more narrow audition search, shows like this when it comes to female talent is always about looks first and then talent unfortunately. We are judged differently than our male counterparts because if you don’t fit the look as a female talent, you’re not making it but if you don’t fit the look as a male talent, they’re less strict and make more exceptions. It’s the same when training and companies too - girls are seen by weight and appearance before talent and boys are seen by talent and appearance
