I Perfected my Pagoda Base for New Game +

Not many people know.. but you can grow Muscle Sprouts in gardens. And if you use 5 pieces of Rotten food for fertilizer you can grow 4 from 1. 💪🍻

This is the kind of base build that i like. I keep trying stuff like this, but want to know a few things: 1. What game mode are you building in, regular game or sandbox? 2. How do you ensure both squareness and overall orientation of the builds? How are you finding center?

the majority of this base was built in pure survival, then in 1.2 i did change to custom just so i could use the handy gnat and turn off raids since the base was getting too big to fight off wasps specifically ha. I still collect all the materials for these bases and have not spawned in anything to make them. the squareness is a bit harder since its just being really patient while starting the base and making small adjustments till i like the orientation of the base, which ended up with me sitting scrolling the mouse wheel endlessly back and forth till it lined up how i like. for example on the pagoda i used bur floors since they have a center line and used part of the pagoda wall in the middle as a refence to line the walls up then just built out for there. sometimes that meant building out a portion of the wall and hating it and starting over.

@@TimberBuilds That part about the bur floors is pretty helpful. I've tried using the edges of the pagoda or any other straight line surface before, but it always seems i'm off by a lot at the end of a long run or so. very frustrating, lol. Kudos to your patience.

@@anonymousguy1794 yeah when i first made the pagoda i used grass floors because i didnt have anything else unlocked and grass floors are not square s hahah so it took alot of patience but it makes it worth it! i also have a discord people can ask questions in and i have tons of the pagoda pictures in there too. helped one person completely rebuild it so far.

@@TimberBuilds do buildings transfer over to NG+ ? and why are you gonna build in NG+2 , is it because it is not worth to go over NG+2 ?

@@domboboy1997 all buildings and gear transfer for every NG+. I just wanted NG+2 because that’s when you get the teleporters and past NG+2 it just gets more difficult so I like the balance of NG+2 for building so I don’t get destroyed and you just unlock better weapons in the next NG+3 along with the ability to infect the fire ant queen. So for building I just prefer a decent challenge for now as I upgrade gear then I’ll definitely go to NG+3 at some point.

@@domboboy1997 literally everything stays so you only lose story progress like the assistant managers keycard so there’s certain doors that are locked but every single item and build, gear, weapons, anything you have stays.

there's a tiny bit of the roof area it blocks but its there for so short of a time and since its just the armory area im not up there all that often.

I’m curious how you got the building looking so symmetrical. I’ve been trying to build on the pagoda and it’s always uneven. Also does the crow damage anything when it lands

Its a very hard build overall! it took alot of patience but if you join my discord im able to help people there and have a bunch of people rebuilding the base aswell that can help. Ill also be making a tutorial at some point but its been slow progress.

Amazing base, man. I'm currently working on duplicating it (as best I can) in my survival world. Did you have a trick for getting the flower petal bed on the ground level? Anywhere I put it down there it says location obstructed.

@@JR-kv6ez I did it for awhile and you just have to rebuild alot but with NG+ and infused bugs I just turned raids off once it got too annoying but for awhile I just avoided fighting mosquitoes and wasps and nothing else can raid the pagoda base.

If you join my discord I can help with screen shots but the base isn’t one connected building each side of the pagoda is its own grid of walls so each wall is built independently of the others since there’s no way to build at the angle the pagoda walls are at with the standard grids.

its just kind of luck that the base i started in the pagoda lined up and they sit just above the water. if you build flat on the floor of the pagoda though yours would have the same setup so should be easy enough to recreate.

Just curious how you're able to use the ghost mode on the gnat. I see in the settings that "c" is the default button for it, but it doesn't work for me. even tried remapping the key. Also your build is amazing. thank you for sharing.

The handygant ghost mode was actually accidentally messed with because of the new patch and i had asked the community manager about it and they are looking into it. thinking now that the crossplay stuff is resolved we will see a patch soon fixing some other issues and hopefully this as well. Glad you liked the build :)

If you haven’t you should join my discord it’s pretty difficult to trouble shoot in comments since you can send screen shots but I can help in discord easily! Overall you have to place the main walls aligned with the pagoda walls first then build out the foundations.

Coudn't join via the discord so I'll ask my question here. The part at 4:41 im trying to rebuild myself and it worked on 3 of the 4 sides by trying random stuff but I can't figure out how to do it. The last side keeps adjusting the support from 1 side to the other... Can you help with this please?

Yepp ha, you can grow the sprigs, shrooms and both styles of toadstool and mushroom chunks and muscle sprouts, and they grow like mine if you fertilize them when planting to get them to be super growth.

The only bases that are safe from raids are the milk molar containers and cans. This base can get raided by wasps and mosquitoes but since I’ve gone into NG+ I’ve turned off raids to make mega building easier
