50-60 years ago the church was more united. Since Vatican II it has become fractured, unpredictable and varied. No two parishes worship the same way. Rules vary all over. It’s confusing. The focus is no longer on the Eucharist.

Not at all, as a Mexican who came to live In the US I can tell you I was able to follow perfectly the Mass. The music might be different, some might not use incense but all say the Nicene creed, all say the Our Father, all sing Lamb of God and so on. The superficial tjings may have changed but the spiritual part of the Mass remains the same. I know a Catholic from the US who went to Japan and attended Mass there and he said that while he may not have understood Japanese he knew what was happening and in what part of mass they were

The reason is that some clergy, including some bishops, were so spiritually poor that they felt safe only in rules and did not allow Holy Spirit to grow in souls thus repeating the process of the old Sanhedrine and priests whom Jesus Himself condemned. Yet these supposed saints think they are holier than Christ Himself. This mess is created by a few so called ‘dignitaries’
