Loved the video Ed! I can totally relate to 2:33-2:40 LOL!! It never fails, especially on warmer nights, to smell one of my neighbors tokin on some reefer.

Just catching up on some of your older videos, whilst hoping for another in depth tutorial. I was hoping your third method would be out. The image of the Tulip Nebula and black hole shockwave, is possibly my favourite of any image I've seen. Just beautiful.

Thanks, Jason! I’ve been taking a break from AP and KZbin. Not sure if I will pursue KZbin any longer. Good luck with AP!

Fantastic image. A black hole of that mass is about 20 miles wide. Astronomy and Physics are the most amazing of the sciences.

lol i initially thought you meant Skunk as in Cannabis! lol. Amazing image Ed! Am i correct in assuming you do your imaging with the Orion reflector in vids ? if so, i luv that because a lot of snobbish astrophotographers criticise people who don't strictly use Refactors or SCT's ?? I think it's a no brainer that when one is trying to capture a lot of light from Nebulae, then a large Reflector, well collimated and set up, is the best choice and keeps costs down substantially! I could be wrong, but that's my opinion. I love my Reflectors, i have 3. My biggest is a 12 inch Dob for visual, though i have been toying with the idea of mount the 12inch OTA onto a suitable EQ mount with guide scope etc to do imaging. Watch this space...
@astroedsastrophotographych45624 жыл бұрын
Yes, I love reflectors! They’re cheap and optically fast! If you get tue collimation dialed in they can be an imaging work horse! I love them! I’ve never owned a refractor and am hesitant to invest as like you say they’re slower and often come with a smaller aperture which means less resolution power as well. They’re a hard sell for me. Thanks for watching! Hope you’re doing well, it’s great to hear from you :)

"Must be a black hole"? Must be something with a very strong gravity field, agreed.
