I photographed the MILKY WAY! Milky Way Photography Trip!

Milky Way photography trip! Come along with me as I photograph the Milky Way from a dark sky site (bortle 2)! I hope this video brings the experience of photographing the Milky Way at least a little bit to you! I can’t tell you the beauty of the sky in Alaska....in the depths of winter...above the Arctic circle! It’s so crystal clear under a cold sky with no cities around for literally hundreds of miles. I truly wish you could experience it Noah. Especially on the ultra flat tundra with no hills and mountains in the way.

@@NoahsAstrophotography you are welcome Noah. I finally made the leap this year and bought a real telescope and mount. Took 4 months on back order, but finally arrived. Unfortunately, the stars have been obscured here do to the smoke from fires in Manitoba and Ontario. Oh well, I guess I’ll keep learning about how to use the new telescope/mount/ASIAir Pro, etc inside for a while longer. A pity, as I live in a Bortle 2 area!

My wife and I went on a stargazing tour last night out in Joshua Tree National Park (we’re on vacation in California), and we’re instantly hooked on the stargazing hobby now! We’re planning on buying a telescope when we get back home from our vacation. Question… Would you be interested in selling a copy of the picture you took over your 4th of July trip?
