I picked up Cerberus. [ Manga Oneshot ]

Finally an MC who made a decision I genuinely liked. Like deep inside he didn’t want to be lonely and actually enjoyed spending time with the Cerberus but he acknowledged their place of origins and how important it is for them to return to their original world rather than fully embracing his heart’s desire and convincing Hades for them to stay with him instead. Of course when he was offered a job where he can spend time with them, he didn’t refuse. But it’s so nice to see a first decision where the mind overpowers the heart for once.

You know, this could make for an interesting anime premise. The story could be about Cerberus's disappearance causing the spirits of the dead to walk the earth. Some are good, some are very bad, but all cause entertaining interactions with the cast before the Cerberus sisters trap, fight, or negotiate with them to send them back to hell. The MC becomes a handler, mission control and liaison between the sisters and Lady Hades. Each episode takes down a soul or two, but also gives a different Cerberus sister a spotlight, to show their independent likes and even their dreams.

@@Animefan5890 Technically, the Greek underworld isn't just the land for the evil dead. There are also the Elysian Fields for good souls. Hades has the job of sorting out and placing the good AND evil folks. A Cerberus story, therefore, could involve making sure good people get their unfinished business or lingering regrets settled before they head off into the afterlife. "Hell" is just a shorthand here.

actually cerberus probably wasnt, the general consensus among linguists and ancient historians for the past seventy plus years or so seems to be that Kerberos's name does not come from a Proto-Indo-European root meaning “spotted.” Sadly, this means that Hades did not, in fact, name his guard dog “Spot.”

Fun Fact, Cerebus is actually Hades's cosuin. Cerebus is the son of Typhon and Echidna. Typhon is the son of Gaia and Tartarus. Gaia had a son with Uranus (several but that's besides the point) named Cronus. Cronus is the father of Hades. That makes Cronus and Typhon half brothers through Gaia, and as a result Hades and Cerebus are cousins (I guess you could call them half cousins if you wanted) Therefore Hades's 'pet' is infact, his cousin.
