I love that you took the time to create an amazing tree. It looks beautiful. Also i love that you don't test new techniques on scrap wood, but just straight onto the actual stairs.

Oh wow, the gravel…! Gluing down each tiny rock must have been hard work, to say the least! You said you didn’t want to spray them down with adhesive because it would get all over the pavers and everything else. The railroad diorama guys use scenic glue in an eyedropper, fixing things down one drop at a time. That’s white glue mixed with water and a little liquid soap. That may not be helpful, but 🤷🏼♀️❤️

Yes, check out how they glue ballast down! Also if you ever need to hide glue texture, try dusting with weathering powder or chalk pastels ground up. Really adds depth and texture
