I Platinum'd Fallout 4 And It Was WAY Worse Than I Expected..

Today I did the unimaginable, the unfathomable, the unconceivable... I played Fallout 4 for more than 2 hours without stopping out of boredom. Anyways Fallout 4's platinum trophy is quite a long and boring grind. It takes about 70hours if you wanna do it the right way and without using any sort of glitch included in the game. But honestly if a Bethesda game still has bugs 8 years after its release then of course I'm gonna do them still lol.

6:23 the terminals took me so long to understand but they’re really easy once you understand how they work, when you click a word and it says the likeness and then a number it means that’s the number of letters that are the in the same position as the password. Like if you choose the word is fish and the password is fake, it’ll tell you that the likeness is 1 because it has 1 matching letter for both words (the F)

@@danieltukua4527 Look at it like this, FISH FAKE The two Fs are under the same letter slot(The first slot). If you select FAKE and FISH is the password then the "likeness" is 1, because FAKE and FISH both only match each other's slots once. Whenever you get the likeness you implement the likeness on the word you selected and other possible passwords. Example: Guesses: INTEGRITY, Likeness = 3 PROCEDURE, Likeness = 1 Password: OSTEOCYTE A common number of letter slots for Master level terminal locks. Hacking terminals requires a good amount of multi-level thinking and process of elimination. The strategy is to get words that you believe are the password. OSTEOCYTE looks alike to INTEGRITY, so match their likeness, you'll find it to be 3. (The first T, E and last T)Do it to PROCEDURE and you'll find it to be 1. (The last E) I recently found a tip online that you can select in between the brackets, I.E. (), [], {} or and get more guesses and get dud words greyed out. When I get home I'm going to test this tip out.

To the people having a hard time with maximum happiness, just build a ton of bench presses. If you build about 150-200 and wait awhile you’ll get max happiness if you’ve met their basic survival needs. Also look for smiley faces when looking at items. That shows what improves happiness.

A settlement with 3 settlers is the easiest way, 1 farmer, 1 bartender, 1 hairdresser, 1 bench press and 1 horse, after a few days of doing other stuff the achievement should pop, no need to wait in the settlement for days on end, just keep checking that the happiness is continually increasing, if it starts to go down make sure each settler is assigned their own bed and that they can reach it, and it is under a roof, settler pathing is weird sometimes.

one thing to know is having robots in your settlements tank your happiness. they lock to 50% happiness and it effects your average happiness. so kick codsworth to a different settlement and it's way easier to get 100% hapiness.

fun fact: hacking isn't pure luck ;-; it does have some tricks to it that are easy enough to understand and always makes it easy for me, Likeliness literally = matching letters, if your likeliness is 0 that means the position of the letters dont match but that doesnt mean that letter isnt present, just comes down to picking similar words to see what matches most likely to figure out what the answer is you can also look for () or [] or a combination of them with any number of characters between them (you'll know it's one you can use because it will highlight the entire string), they are SUPER fucking useful as they mostly just deleted "duds" (wrong words) and theres usually (but I dont think always) 1 of these that gives you "tries reset" giving you more chances to figure out the password (and as far as I can tell the length of those bracket commands doesnt determine if it's a DUD or RESET one as I think it's completely random what generates with what effect) hacking is still such a shit and boring minigame but once you understand these two incredibly simple things about it, it becomes a bit of a breeze

Best way to do it is pick the first 3 words you see if that’s not the password start clicking all the () [] you mentioned. It will get rid of duds and most of the time reset your tries. If you didn’t hack it exit the terminal at 1 try remaining and rinse and repeat

@@CaptnSpoon yeah I have it down to a science, I usually pick the first word check for similarities, pick the next word that shares that number if any otherwise one completely different in the case of a 0, take the next best guess, either it's right or ill look for the try reset otherwise backout then try again

I haven’t done 100% on many games but this is one I have done, as I had all the story achievements anyway and thought I may as well finish it up. I wooodnt say it’s hard in any way, it just takes a while. I’d say the only 2 that are tricky are getting max happiness in a settlement, mostly because it’s tricky and you basically have to cheese it. And the 100,000 bucks tickets, however you can automate it so it’s not too bad to cheese

There is strategy to the terminal hacking likeness means you have a letter in the right spot and there are closed brackets in the hack that remove words and give you more trys

Yeah, I hated that 50 miscellaneous missions trophy. I have course learned when I head 10 missions left that if you side with the brotherhood and throw down one of those vertibird grenades, it counts as a mission when you climb into the ship

So my brother knows while hacking you can click the characters that are highlighted together they’ll be stuff like [!,>$] or also () is common. These are considered a closed section of text and those replenish your guesses and eliminate the words that are incorrect. just scroll over every bit of text and you’ll find em naturally and fairly quickly. Hope to see a fallout new Vegas video if there isn’t one already new sub and really enjoying the content. Also New Vegas hacking is the same and the higher your science skill the less words spawn so sometimes you can use the extra blocks of characters to remove pretty much every word it’s op.

For the 100% happiness build and assign all available dwellers on level 3 bars and go do other objectives/trophies. 50 misc objectives trophy is done easiest by spamming the brotherhood signal flares since "board the vertibird" is a misc objective.

I did all 84 achievements on a single survival run. Took me over 150hrs with 3 deaths total. I remember every hour lost to two random mini nukes in the wasteland, and a car "hitting" me 😂. A great time though.

The terminal hacking is MOSTLY luck, but there are bits of code you can click in order to eliminate an option or refresh your number of attempts. But yeah, it’s mostly just luck
