Yo Josh, your take on this is very legitimate. But please allow me to offer another perspective! Going into this game, it is very important one understands what they are getting into. If one is expecting an action based spy game, they are absolutey going to be dissappointed. If one is expecting an action adventure RPG, they are certainly going to be unhappy. It's really important before jumping in that one understands that this is a wholesome slice-of-life type game about photography. In real life, I am a grappling hook hiker that takes a lot of nature photos from mountain summits, and it is the photography element that drew me to this game. I've not seen the original source material, and that leads me to an interesting observation. During my time streaming this game on Twitch, I observed that those that enjoyed it the most, are those completey unfamiliar with the source material, and thus were going into this with no existing expectations of what it would be. Additionally, I also saw that those that enjoyed this the most were those that were going through a difficult stretch of their lives, in some cases such a rough stretch that even their mental well-being was being affected. Enter Anya, an adorable young girl taking up a wholesome and light-hearted activity, photographing the interactions and fun she is having with her family. A persistent theme I observed from people that were really getting into this, is they came from troubled families, and what they were seeing from Anya was the kind of childhood and loving family they wished they had. I saw this comment often, and I saw people genuinely taking comfort from Anya, and really appreciating a chance to break away from their own troubled situation and become invested in what was happening. I started allowing chat to choose Anya's costumes, and folks became genuinely excited when we unlocked new costumes and were able to dress up our family, and even Bond, in new types of costumes. Many of the photo interactions are adorable, and people could imagine themselves as a child undergoing such antics. I genuinely saw improvements in a few people that were struggling with their mental well-being during the team I was broadcasting Anya. So your take on this is certainly legitimate. I can absolutely see how the repetitive loops and wear on one. This really isn't a game I would recommend anyone obsess about 100% completion with. But there definitely is a set of the population where this game pushes all the right buttons, and Anya really has a way of taking your worst day and somehow making it feel like things are going to be okay. I really am amazed at just the kind of positive mental affect she really have on someone that feels like the world is against them. Thanks for taking the time to read my perspective!

Game still looks charming though. Like the One Punch Man game on PS4. Not worth the full price, but a buy when it's on sale.
