these players are not the best in the world lol, not even remotely close. this is a very soft lineup barring Ivey, and Ivey is nowhere near "best in the world" (Ivey is probably the goat sure but not elite at NLHE cash in 2022) (this isn't meant as a diss/hate towards Brad)

It's probably easier to move up when you are making 200k/yr from YT in addition to your poker winnings.
@YallaMiami2 жыл бұрын
@@fozzy7199 but here is the thing. He played with 40K and he’s literally comparing that to what he was making a year as an accountant. He is very smart and knows how not to move up unless you have a good bankroll regardless of how much his KZbin income is. He have 700K followes and I’m sure he is making enough to play on high stakes but he doesn’t. Now compare him to Mariano and Rampage. Who just lost 100K on the hustler stream and he shared he been going a down swing!
@BradOwenPoker2 жыл бұрын
@@fozzy7199 Less so than you'd think. If I had spent thousands of hours studying and playing poker rather than making YT videos for the past 5.5 yrs, I would likely be playing very high stakes still and I'd be an even better player. I've been beating high stakes games the last few years despite that.

Brad, I've been watching your channel for a long time. I've never left a comment on your video but I just wanted to say that you have left a positive impact on my life with the content that you share with us. All the cash games, tournaments, and meet up games have all led up to this very important part of your poker career and it brings so much joy to see you succeed and play with some of the best poker players that you grew up idolizing. It's a dream that many of us have that you absolutely deserve to experience. Very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. It must be tough going through that and we respect you sharing that detail about your life with us. I just about teared up when you said that one of the last conversations you had with him was when you shared this amazing poker experience with him before his passing. I'm sure there wasn't a single dad out there that was more proud of their son than yours. The fact that he lived to see his son fulfill his dreams makes me think that he left this world peacefully. I'm very happy I stumbled upon your channel all those years ago, and the amazing impact you had on my life as well as countless others wouldn't have happened if it weren't for your dad. We as a community are so grateful for him and to you as well. Cheers to the legend, Mr. Owen

Keep your memories of your dad close - more will come as time passes. Most of my memories today are of all of the things that my parents taught me to make me as successful as I became. Been a poker player for decades now but chess is a recent passion so it's awesome to see these two worlds colliding. Phil, Brad, and every poker player should be very afraid if Magnus starts taking the game seriously. Though chess and poker are two very different games the intellectual skills that makes Magnus dominant in chess could easily make him dominant at poker if he put in the work to learn it.

My sympathies and condolences to you and your family , Brad. It is sweet that you managed to speak to your old man about this game and I’m sure he was extremely pleased and proud. It’s a great pleasure to watch your channel and we will all continue to watch with great interest. Here’s a raised glass to you, and one for your dad too.

Been here since the beginning! And seeing you sitting at a table with Phil ivey in a game that big is the one of the most inspiring things I've witnessed! Congrats on playing with the best and winning!

One of the coolest videos I have ever watched. Ivey was the second best sitting at this table. You are number 1 in my book.

Brad, it’s been so amazing watching you as an accountant playing 2/5 to beating the best of the pros and famous individuals for $50,000! Your vlog is the best out there and I’m pumped to see what comes!

Been watching you since around vlog#30 through all the ups and downs man I been here holding it down, I’ve watched one or maybe two vlogs where your dad say and played with you and I just wanna say that no one is ever prepared to lose his father but you learn to live without him being present. I’m truly sorry for your loss brother and your family will be in my thoughts. Keep crushing it and continue to show dad who is truly the best in the world and I’ll be here waiting and watching for that moment. 👍

Brad, this is by far the BEST vlog you have put out. Not just from a video production stand point (the skit was hilarious btw), but from an emotional stand point of talking about your dad, your drive, what he meant to you. Congrats on all the success at that game (CHOOSING to give Ivey position on you takes a set lmao), with the WPT and all the success and with The Lodge. Moving to Texas in January, so I'm looking forward to making my way to Round Rock. I feel honored to have gotten a chance to talk to you at your MUG at The Hustler (I was the one in the Dwight Shrute shirt lol). Anyway, keep doing your thing, my man. See you on the felt. P.S. now I can officially say that I will be waiting to take YOUR bankroll in 5 years lol

That was the best game to watch you play. I was more nervous for you having phil to your left. It was even more special having the best player in chess playing too. wow!!! Losing your father was so heart felt. Family is always first. My condolences🙏.
