You have to hit LT/L2 when they throw a punch to dodge it, then RT/R2 after but it’s a very specific timing that you kinda have to practice!

Definitely hop into practice mode and get a feel for skating with the puck, stick handling, and shooting! Also, learn to use the Skill Stick controls as they are by far the best controls in the game! Have fun!!

It takes a TON of practice, and awareness. I’ve been playing the NHL franchise for over 15 years now, so the controls are engraved in my mind. Definitely learn to use the left trigger while holding the puck to protect it, definitely is a big help!
