TCG pocket is great for me. I love playing the game, but the insane amount of cards, rules, and size of the decks makes getting into it hard. TCG pocket simplifies the gameplay to 20 cards, and infinite energies, which keeps me from getting overwhelmed. Now I can spend more time playing the actual game, which I’ve always wanted. An incredible game

Okay, you said to mention if I got Butterfree to work... I did. My best deck is Venu EX, Butterfree, and Liligant. Lilgant out first to quick energy up Venu being build in the back, while Butterfree is also built up. Then with Venu out you basically 2 shot everything and with Butterfree, Potions, Erika, and Giant Bloom, you heal INSANE. It's my hard counter to Mewtwo honestly. The only thing it struggles with IMO is Charizard, who is the only thing that can one shot Venu.

As a Venasaur enjoyer I find Lilligant a very good partner. 100 hp stage 1 that does 50 damage and feeds Venasaur an energy is great.

There is a mobile client for the official TCG, it just sucks massive nuts. Buggy, doesn't have all the legacy cards, missing formats from the previous PC client. Just absolutely shitting the bed there. PTCG Pocket is a breath of fresh air for all of us, as a simulator and as a card game. I want them to add Draft and Theme deck formats so badly.

@@JakeBake-li3fb There were double battle rules starting with the original ruby and sapphire cards, and that sorta translated well into 2v2 (4 players). Effects and mechanics surrounding double battles phased out with 4th gen, I think.

i made the same nido meowth deck when i saw that the Queen do more damage with Kings on the bench,but i often get stomped by Dragonites because of bad rng [killing my queen or king in 1 turn with 3 of 4 in one single mon] but it is such a fun deck,Dark and Metal need some Ex'es

10:00 one of the best for this deck is lilligant. 2 energy for 50 damage and attach 1 energy to a benched Pokemon. It's a great starter to set up Venusaur 16:41 for Blastoise I also run 2 Meowth for payday and 1 staru + starmie ex. Even 1 energy is huge with misty especially on starmie ex. It also has a free retreat cost

I’ve been having a lot of success with a butterfree deck. I run 2 cat, 1 met, 1 but, 2 exe, 1 Exeg ex, 1 exeg, 2 pet, 2 lill, 2 pokeball, 2 prof Re, 2 erika, 1 gio, 1 sabrina. I just set up a bench and use lil to move energy everywhere. My endgame goal is to have a butterfree on the bench with executer ex attacking with Erica healing.

Hey purple, big fan, Venusaur is my main deck and I absolutely love I run 2 of venusaur line, butter free line, and liligant line. This deck is so fun and do pretty well with it. They key here is liligant wich you can use to stall and set up Venusaur. Liligant lets you attach an energy to a bench pokemon, which is perfect to give you bulba two energy per turn to set up and even if you get Caterpie in the beginning he’s perfect for card draw, by the end I’m usually healing 50 damage every turn with butter free and Venusaur. This is with running no Erica (don’t have any). But still really great deck

@purplecliffe i have found tenticruel and frostmoth work best with dragonite. even using the energies on them and delaying your dragonite is fine as tenticreul can force switches through tick damage and frostmoth can stall with sleep. running misty also helps. my decklist for it is 2x dragonite line, 2x snom line, 2x tenticle line, 2x pokeball, 2x misty, 2x sabrina, 2x professor oak, givonni and a red card. this deck holds my most wins at 27-5

I ADORE this game so much. My decks aren’t the best yet, but I still love making and playing them! I was able to get the gold emblem yesterday which was a relief I just wish people would stop stalling for time lol, especially when they have a game ending attack that turn. You do nooooot need to play all your items, a supporter, attach an energy, use an ability, etc (and also taking forever for each) to just deal the final blow after Like I’m just conceding at that point and not giving a thanks I don’t care anymore dhdhdjjdjdkd

Groomer and muck is also good with the wheezing deck because you can poison with wheezing then switch out of muk 120 because it’s poisoned. Muk does 50 more damage if the active Pokémon is poisoned.

This is weird and probably dumb, but I actually tried a dark deck with one set of butter free line, that does decently well. I don’t get grass energies so butterfree is just a bench Mon/fodder if it has to be active, and it’s pretty mon heavy compared to these. But it’s helpful to either keep the nidos alive/swap and heal weezings while chipping, Also, if caterpie ends up being the only one out, you can search out its evos with its attack since they’re the only grass mons in the deck.

I’ve been playing TCG pocket and I think I’ve had by far the funniest battle I will ever have already I was running a fighting deck and I was using Dugtrio, with Dig, with it I can flip to avoid taking damage that next battle and I not only was winning using Dig (which does 40 damage), but I also made them rage quit because I got like 7-8 heads in a row and kept avoiding damage

Try Weezing + Koga + Muk, it's a pretty easy 150 damage with low downside, and Koga allows you to freely reset the Weezing's HP pool. I also run Arbok to restrain Pokemon and keep them in the active slot for the extra poison damage. This build DEMOLISHES Mewtwo Gardi builds, at least in my experience.

3:46, the Mewtwo deck vs. Mewtwo deck, actually, my most insane match was Mewtwo vs. Mewtwo and i was so happy about that match i wrote it down in my notebook Thats what i wrote:I had an amazing game of tcg pocket today we both played mewtwo mewtwo has 150 HP and an attack that does 150 HP we both had a fully set up mewtwo an our bench so the first one to play it will die and end up weaponless so he had one point but in the stalking time I managed to take a single point to he also managed to setup a second mewtwo but since killing an ex card gives two points I will need to just kill one in an singular strike I outstalked him by one with jinx as my active he knew that if he kills jinx he will die (or something like that) it turned out I didn't even need to switch because he had some extra energy on his mewtwo so my jinx would make exactly 150 I won and didn't use my mewtwo once in a mewtwo based deck. That's why I love this game It's a bit chaotically written, but (i think) it's still comprehensive enough

my venusaur deck has me undefeated against most decks except for a 30ish percent chance to lose against articuno, i try and lead the way with petilil into lilligant since she is the only true engine to get energy onto venusaur fast. i also run just a solo butterfree that then allows for healing nearly 100 a turn if i have a erika. this deck is heavy relied on those draws from pokeball tho to get petilil.

I play Blastoise EX with Starmie EX. Starmie EX has insane health and damage for a stage 1, only needs 2 energy, and has 0 retreat cost. This allows you to have a stronger early game and lets you save both your Misty cards for Blastoise. And you don't need to use x speed to get Blastoise in since Starmie EX has 0 retreat cost, though I still use it to get Squirtle/Wartortle out if I get unlucky and don't start with a Staryu. You're still weak to Pikachu decks, I don't think any water deck has a good matchup into Pikachu unless you get good draws and misty flips. Most of my wins against Pikachu decks, Starmie ex has to win by itself and Blastoise generally doesn't get played at all. But against other decks, I can get Blastoise set up without a single misty flips simply because of how good Starmie is. And being able to one shot Mewtwo is incredible.

I did the venusaur ex and butterfree combo and can you imagine healing 70 damage every turn, and heal up to 160 hp with Erika and 2 potions but the only issue with it it's hard to pull off with 2 butterfree, you will nt be playing giovanni nor any redcards and probably just barely enough to play 1 copy sabrina. but if you managed to get it set up, only a stacked charizard ex will be able to destroy this deck.

Isn’t the charizard ex deck just a buffed mewtwo deck since charizard does 200 dmg and moltres (the energy generator) is a basic so you can start stacking your charmander with energies from the jump.

Been playing with Mewtwo for quit a bit and i'm really not sure about the list i really want to play... Done did a bit under 10 games with your list and lost 2 or 3 of them because i could never get a Mewtwo or another ralts to bench so i'm thinking Meowth with a second Sabrina instead of Red card and double Giovanni. But then, Poke Ball could and most likely would get me a Meowth when in need of a Mewtwo or Ralts because RNGesus really do be like that sometimes. So i cannot decide what is arguably worse or better. BUT, i STILL don't have a second Sabrina despite opening 20+ Zard packs with my first and only one comming from a wonder pull or whatever you call this frustrating RNGesus hellfest of doom so ima stay playing yours for now 👍
