@@kellydudley3688 because save data is connected to your Nintendo account on the switch, so unless someone logs in as you on their switch they wont have any save data from your game.

the grass isn't deteriorated. Grass deterioration wasn't added until City Folk. There was just more dirt patches in Wild World.

Someone actually recently made a patch for Wild World that removes the requirement for having another player visit your town and buy something to get the final Nookshop upgrade. It's nice for those that don't have access to fan servers or a second copy

So cool to see old wild world files, too. I only saw Gamecube and New Leaf on KZbin. It was sooo nostalgic to meet Rodeo first because he was my first ACWW villager EVER! My first ACWW town was called minicity and my second Sametata (all a vocals pronounced like in sun and the e like in never or ending).

Grass deterioration was actually introduced in City Folk, not Wild World

Pretty sure Wild World doesn't have grass deterioration, the towns had massive dirt patches by default.

I bought a used copy of New Leaf a few years ago so I could pop it into my 2DS and get that visitors badge on my main copy on my 3DS or something, thinking "hey, I can design a new, second town", but then... I couldn't bring myself to delete that previous player's old town. It was likely just some kid named Emily who grew bored of the game and abandoned it but, what if it wasn't? What if Emily passed away? What does the way she designed her town say about her? What does the villagers she picked tell me about the person she was? Would it be wrong to delete a memory of who Emily was?

I actually don't think that Wild World had grass deterioration. It was City Folk that introduced that to the series. In Wild World, the dirt on the ground was there from when you began the game. And before anyone asks me, no, the second town was not my town. I still have my game, town name is Smashville (except it's just Smashvil because of the character limit for your town name), and have the Smash Bros. villager face. That player just coincidentally had the same or similar name as me.

I’m sad because my brother and I lost our wild world cartridge as kids but we had no clue what we were doing, so no progress was made. I only remember that oranges were our town fruit.

As someone who played Wild World for about 6 months and then eventually traded it in, this was nice to see. I wish I still had my copy since I don't remember anything about my town. I often wonder if someone continued it or maybe got rid of my town.

Grass deterioration didn't exist in Wild World - that was introduced later in City Folk.

I'm pretty sure grass deterioration wasn't a thing in wild world and that the grass patches and dirt patches were predetermined.

Wild World is when i started playing animal crossing and I fell in LOVE!! I was young so my I cringe a bit at my old town name of Riotville. Wolfgang was my only photo i ever got and we have been best of buds since. I got really far in on paying off my house and upgrading Nook's all the way but because of school i never got to work towards any of the rare bugs and fish, My fossils were all donated and i think i was only missing peaches!! I miss my old town so much but i had to sell my copy to make rent when i first moved out on my own. That said I did buy another copy recently but have not had the time to sink back into it.

How fun! I’ve recently dug out my old consoles and started up my wild world. Lot’s of weeds… and it also inspired me to buy New Leaf before the e-shop closed. So much fun! So now I’m basically playing 4 AC games at once, since I also play new horizons and pocket camp 😅

I think those bottle mails from the ocean were in City Folk too... but in Wild World was the funny thing you could get them from friends if you are lucky! I think there was a chance of this happening when you played together locally... City Folk war just random iirc

Sooo many memories 😍 I loved Wild World as a kid. My first town was called Bunnyhut because I was, and still am, obsessed with bunnies and all of my town have been called something related to bunnies ❤

Cool towns :) I have two towns that i still play .. ???? is the name of my first town and Squibs is my second town:) I still play these every now and then along with my NL/NH towns. Playing the AC games are too fun to give up on them:).

I actually bought a second hand copy just last week, they were literally at the beginning and didn't talk to Tom Nook yet, plus both the player's and the town name were gibberish. Restarted it, been playing every day. Found a moon and a space shuttle on the recycle bin already! 🤣

I have a used copy of Wild World but I didn’t know how to sell the town and catalog and keep the bells. So I deleted it and started a new town. But I quickly got overwhelmed by Tom Nook in the beginning and stopped playing.

I got my DS lite and WW on my 10th birthday. I called my town “dunno” because I thought the game would let me pick from a list, and then I was stuck with it. 😂 I’ve played almost every mainline and side title since then! How I miss these early days.

i gave my old ds and games to my little neighbors and we played wild world together. apparently i named my town Albion, i had earned a few villager pictures and fully upgrade nooks store, but my house was still only one level? i dont think the room was even full sized and it was very poorly decorated

You can change your bed up in the attic with a different bed I use the lovely bed 🎀💗 that’s the only thing really The second map is ideal!! I love my map but damn I wish mine was similar to this but I’ve had the same town since I was 10 (after losing my first after it disappeared) had the same game cartridge since I was 5 years old grew up on acww never played the game cube growing up or city folk I hope to get them tho
