When they played Poke Suika in November, Jacob told Jo that he had a "funny story" to tell, but he wasn't allowed to do so until December. 15:25 New Pokémon Snap is AWESOME and everybody needs to play it right now. I can't believe people forgot this one existed after a month like it was just a regular Pokémon game when it's literally filled with so many unique interactions it's pretty much all the love filled parts of the series without all the yearly release copy/paste (I may be biased since I have 1000+ hours in the game and am almost top 50 worldwide on the leaderboard)

New pokemon snap seems awesome, but i think the gaming landscape has changed too much for it to be successful today. The first pokemon snap released at a time where most kids got at most 2 maybe 3 games a year, which meant that games that were uber replayable and offered tons of depth were often the most successful, as kids didn't really have another choice. But now, games are not only released all the time, but they have to compete with F2P games that are always available at a moments notice. If someone gets too bored or irritated by a game they can ALWAYS just go play a different game instead of having to deal with it, so games that have depth that require multiple playthroughs to get at have a harder time breaking through. A game's first playthrough is the most some people will experience, and that's if they finish it in the first place. To put it simply, there are too many good games and there are too many cheap games lol.

I'm a proper nerd, I have a Google Spreadsheet of my backlog and all games I completed in a given year. I've recorded my progress since 2014 and evolved how the list works. So yeah, I know that last year I completed 52 games, one a week average. But that's not what I /played/ that's what I FINISHED. So not sure I'm at 365 played but definitely possible. So hah. :P

@PneumaAshАй бұрын
Making a spreadsheet to keep track of what games I own has been one of the best things I've ever done for my gaming hobby. I am one of many people that buys a LOT of Steam games during sales that I definitely want to play, but then I open my Steam library to look for something new to start, get decision paralysis, and boot Terraria to start my 700th vanilla world or my 300th modded world I also implemented a ranking system where I asked myself just how much I actually want to play each game, wrote down a score from 1/10, and ordered my list of games by what I wanted to play most (with extra influence coming from how long the game is, so that I can prioritize shorter games over longer games). It's absolutely an insane thing to do but it has helped me experience some games that are now in my top 20 all time favorite games that I might have never otherwise opened because of that sheer decision paralysis

it's a stretch goal from the Kickstarter campaign. They're currently busy putting the finishing touches on the base game content from the original pitch, and we're almost done with that (The Watcher got released two months ago; only a couple assists and hazards stages are left) so we're about to enter the reveal phase of getting new content and it's very exciting. We're likely to see the announcer packs at some later point in time once the gameplay content has been expanded.
