@@RedBeer Nope they didn't cover monetization and I didn't ask. But if you're asking me I 100% expect time savers armor weapons skins hideout, all that stuff in a store. We got to see a brief presentation on the animus hub, which is the new modern day thing. That will have stuff for purchase that you can earn via in-game activities, but you can also just spend real money to buy the currency.

Yeah besides Naoe can fight it's just much harder for her especially when there's more than one enemy her gear and tactics are built more for stealth not so much for combat she can still handle herself tho it's vice versa for yasuke he's built for more combat because of all his weapons and armor less for stealth and parkouring

The light-darkness system is obviously very similar to Splinter Cell, when Naoe is laying down on the ground on a dark spot it is difficult to see her, but she's not "invisible" as you understood it, that's why when an enemy (even more so a Shinobi who's more trained in perception) gets too close, they'll see her

I am genuinely curious where you got that impression from. Most of the objective takes I've seen have been stealth is great in expert difficulty, parkour is worse than mirage, and combat is inconclusive cause more time with the game is needed.

The weapon switching, mid combo, is cool and reminds me of the trick weapon switching in bloodborne, where if you hit the transform button, mid combo, it has a unique attack. I appreciate the less negative preview, I find everyone is super pessimistic and although there are still some rough spots that I see in this video, it looks better than I have been led to believe so far. I hope they keep polishing to a beautiful sheen and that this game becomes worth playing for many, even if it doesn't reach excellent status, being a good, or even great game would be a pretty impressive success story.

Can we please be notified when we "need" to switch/change protagonists? I can already sense the frustration players will feel when you progress with one character and then you, by trying numerous things wasting your time, realize that you can't progress because of the area you're in, and you have to switch to the other protagonist without any queue from game itself. We should be told either which protagonist is optimal for the quest we're on or if there is a limitation of one protagonist versus the other in the area we are in.

Wow this actually looks like a good AC game again. People want proper cinematic cutscenes again, we got em. We wanted better parkour, we got it. better stealth combat, got it. Even the combat looks improved over valhalla. Graphics look great. im honestly surprised how good it looks with so much negativity going on with this game and ubisoft in general.

I really hope they make the parkour a little more smoother , so far it doesnt look fluid between ledges and buildingd slightly above or below your level . Its a preview so im sure they have a little time to iron out these small details

4:57 this is my issue with modern ac games. How does stabbing someone through the back while they lay on the ground take away no health, and only half of their posture (or armour etc.)…? This is from the same people saying having one character who can do parkour, stealth and combat wouldn’t be realistic. These games can’t decide what they want to be and end up being mediocre at everything

I got like a week ago my first PS5 and can finally play games older then 2012-2014 and got to choose between Valhalla and Mirage, got Valhalla for it's playtime and got both ups and downs... Didn't seem all thay excited about Shadows but the more I see, the more I'm willing to give it a chance... Will definetly get Mirage since it's not very long and at an affordable price...

Not having the two playable character exist in the world at the same time, ala GTAV, and having you be able to switch them on the fly - or even have them be able to do missions side by side where you can switch between the two whenever you want; would have made the differing locations offering different paths for different body types more fluid instead of hitting pause and switching out the characters. But hey, literally nobody has done what GTAV did with having 3 main characters roam independently - so I guess I can't blame Ubisoft for not immitating something that was done 10 years ago on much shittier hardware.

Dude, I don't get the hate for this game. From the very beginning, the proposals included in the video materials are of a good standard. The fact that you can play as a full-fledged Ninja, just like in the good old Tenchu ​​days, is a HUGE plus. I read that seasons change every 4 or so hours in the game and that every 40 minutes you can manually swap seasons. Does anyone know how that works ?

I asked the associate narrative lead and she basically said nothing because of spoilers. I think because of the time period (post Ezio, pre Edward) we will have Assassins. There was also a templar medallion flashed in the story trailer that went live earlier today. So I think yes, templars and assassins. If not I will be so, so disappointed

I think what sucks is that a casual Templar medallion made me jump out of my seat VS if this game was released 10 years ago it would have been a normal sighting. I guess we will see and hope together but so far I don’t see many good signs lol

The basic stealth mechanics haven't evolved at all as far as view cones and guards just mindlessly walking over to a dead body. AC games can't live off of a beautiful world and basic story/mediocre combat alone!

1. The parkour looks very clunky, not smooth at all 2. The combat also looks very clunky and unpolished. it looks like a bad animation, no smoothness at all 3. I personally do not think the story of this game will be that good (I.E the last assassins creed game with actually awesome story and side missions was AC Origins, man i love that game) 4. I know this game is still under embargo but something tells me you didn't like it either (judging by your voice tone)

Ubisoft is making some interesting stuff, but i can't believe we are still getting "Kill 25 ronin" missions, janky animations and empty sidequests. It seems like they are learning, but by the time they learn all they have to do, there won't be a Ubisoft anymore, at least as we know it. They really leaned into this RPG thing, so why not take a look at other open world RPGs like the witcher or cyberpunk? Why not take some aspects from RDR2 and GTA 5? Traversal looks so boring, and even if the devs talked to jayvee about how there are some interesting sidequests, the fact that we didn't see any of them on the preview is really concerning. I don't think this game is enough to take Ubisoft out of the problems they're facing.

The more I see of this game the more I have the feeling that this game is going to be something really special. That's coming from an AC fan since the pre 2010s that loves his Ezio Trilogy the most, I admittedly am pretty fucking excited.
