This 200 team WC simulation possibly comes to life in a parallel universe, where only international football exists (no club football). The World Cup is every year and played as a season (considering how big the earlier groups are) . Teams travel around the world in a plane, where you can do a 5000 mile trip in 30 mins to an hour. Teams knocked out of the earlier rounds, go into secondary / smaller tournaments to carry on their seasons etc. I'm overthinking this, but you never know, if other universes exist, with this kind of football system. Just fun to think Wales get to a 200 team WC semi final and narrowly lose 3-2 to Brazil after extra time.

Nah, we would never actually win a group irl lets be real. Even assuming that we qualify (tbf that is the most permissive group qualification system I have ever seen), the Romanian way is to have to shiver for it until the last day and keep making calculations about how we are still in the fight. It would have been more accurate to have us get a result against Spain (probably with 20 saves made by our GK but that is beside the point), then immediately lose to Kenya and Finland which forces us to beat Curacao in the last game to qualify. Final result:1-0 win with an 89th minute goal, Romania is going through lads what a win! Really though, I am thankful we made it that far in this sim, went really well even though Wales isn’t exactly that big a name to get dumped out by, maybe could have won that one too. For once these FM sims give me something to cheer about, think this is the best one I have seen for us
