I was inspired by Qudans to main Devil Jin. Tekken 8 is my first serious tekken game and I'm currently struggling real bad. I've been stuck at red rank ever since I downloaded the game around June and even decided to go to offline meetups only to get my ass handed to me. Literally lost 18 games straight and it got so bad where they tried to encourage me by making excuses that Devil Jin is hard to play and that he's low tier trash. Your vids and other Devil Jin mains have helped me to push through and stay loyal to the character. I'm still bad at the game but I'm slowly getting used to playing him.

yeh to be honest red ranks is mostly about figuring out how your character plays and a mishima is a really tough one to go on that journey with. i would say that you just gotta work on your punishment and find out when you can steal turns with u4 (good against mashers).

Tekken takes a long time to learn, keep at it if you are enjoying it!

Bro dont beat yourself up man if T8 is your first Tekken then red ranks this early is actually super impressive. In T7 it took me over a year to get into purples. Honestly there is a threshold where it will click for you trust me and then your progress will compound.

It's all about experience. You have to get hit by everything before you can start to counter it. Just try and be aware, and don't play the same way all the time. You got it maneee!

Frame traps, poking, knowledge checks, reversals, and basic punishment will easily get you out of red. Almost no one breaks throws either. Maybe you are being too respectful to your opponents because Devil Jin has plenty of cheese to get out of lower ranks. Enforce your plus frames and disrespect theirs often. All you have to do to get out of red is learn the basics about the game and your character.

Honestly Momo, I'm happy to hear that you showed all of your Bastard Devil tech to Qudans more than anything else. If he decides to use some of this stuff combined with his fundamentals, we could be in for something special (Yes I call your setups Bastard Devil tech)

Momo. Your vids have leveled me up so much! This is my first Tekken that Im playing online. Started out with Drag, moved on to Reina, and now Im DVJ. For some reason I climbed WAY higher with DVJ. I went from Red ranks to Bushin in about a week. But now Im seeing my flaws cause these Bushin+ players are monsters and TBH I almost gave up on DJ and moved on to Jin.. But I just get so much satisfaction beating people with DJ though. Thanks again Momo keep up the good content!

I watched the entire thing. Bro just sidesteps flash punch and laser scrapers and punishes it with an electric. He's so consistent with it too. A lot of sidewalks into 123. Qudans might not have a lot of flashy moves but when it comes to defense and consistency, he's so good with it. That's also probably the reason why even when momo was playing so well and winning, I still feel much more pressured from qudans.

11:30 The optimal pickup is ws3 instead of 1+4. Timing is strict but you can get 46 damage with heat

Hi. Just wondering how you do the wavedash into manual full crouch into ws2 that momo talked about. Rather then using the back input to get ws2.

Momo, I missed in the video, why Qudans doesn’t implement back while ws2 from wavedash? How does he do it instead?
@hatto5 ай бұрын
He said because it's much more consistent to just do it from crouching, and people mostly wont know the difference since it looks like its still a crouch dash from point blank. When momo showed it, he basically did a f n d df f db n 2.

Too much movement seems to be a liability in this game. It seems to be a reason why Knee is not doing better.
