Don't beat yourself up about making calls. They were reads. If you really wanted to "try and get better" at it, start trying to think of the WORST case scenario of getting a read wrong. Like that game 3 if you get the read wrong you lose, but if you get it right it only marginally improves your situation, imo, over doing the "best play". I'm not saying its easy. I rarely do well with it. And you are literally 100x the player I am, but this is the only thing I can think of the your question about what you can get better at the end of the match. Regardless great set and thank you for setting up all these really cool matches with top players.

Markus Stadter has a way longer ongoing string of Regionals + Nationals titles and top placements across the board including at Worlds and is widely considered a all-time great in the community but Michael is already on the way to surpass his achievements.
