If you play chess for 10 hours, you get better, but your elo momentarily doesn't. Like if you run a marathon, by the end of it, you'll be exhausted and unable to perform, but it'll make you better in the long run.

Frank, the reason you are not improving is because you haven’t consolidated your tactics and board vision. Couple pieces of advice, just do lots of puzzles and aim to get all of them right and also stop playing when you get tired because your quality of gameplay will worsen.

OK Frank I admit I was quite skeptical about your game, but now I'm in. Why? Reasons: 1. You genuinely seem to love the game. 2. You are putting in a lot of effort. 3. You stay cool even when you're in a bad position. AND 4.1000 elo in 7 months is actually pretty good. This is a HUGE improvement fairly fast from what appears to be your very first game ever. I'm happy to give credit where credit is due and I think you can obviously continue to improve quite a bit from here. You're on my list of chess channels right next to Hikaru and Levy, screw the haters. You got another CHEEKY sub, go get 'em, 1500 next to fall maybe?
