Tru, in the endgame when the last survivor is standing the game becomes basicly a hatch stand-off. You gotta find it 1st and close it which activates the exit gates but also activates a timer and if it runs out the entity K I L L S the survivor. Extra notes: The meg called Mint_cup3 who struggled off you can rechase again, its not considerd tunneling if they just wiggle off whilst ur carrying them the definition of tunneling is like ignoring injured survivors over a healthy one you already hooked twice and just only going for that one survivor. On 11:28 the Dwight used a perk called Flashbang he can Magicaly pull a flashbang out of his ass in a locker when he has done 50% of a generator. He stunned you and dropped the flashbang which forced you to look at it and by which you got the blinded effect. "Why does krispycreme181 look like VSauce?" I CAN'T UNSEE IT NOW BRAHAHA

So, my guess is the last survivor was either t-bagging the hatch (which opens when there's only 1 survivor left in the trial) waiting for you to see him/her jump in, or he/she WAS hiding, in which case, you should find and close the hatch to activate the end game collapse, which is a 2 minute death timer. If the survivor can't escape via the 2 exit gates within those 2 minutes (Or they have a key that can unlock a closed hatch), the entity claims them. The best way to handle this stage is to patrol both gates to apply pressure. At some point you should see either the last survivor or red lights by the door switch. In either case, you'll know they're in the area and, therefore, where to search. Welcome back to DBD. It's not easy to get into, but, if you have friends to play with, it's quite fun.

@@Haxx601 The minimum hardware and being on controller wasn't an issue. Hell I played Pinhead with the Bent Nail cause I'm a masochist that way. Even still, I did well getting 3-4k usually, depending on the killer of course. But the devs just love making the power player work harder for the kills that the player needs to get high into the mmr, on top of survivors giving us hate for playing the game the way killers are supposed to, the game just felt like being into an abusive relationship, and I had already gotten myself out of one years ago. Plus the game has no cross progression, so when I got myself a Ps5 naturally I stopped playing DBD entirely. Why should we have to play by the survivor rulebook if those players refuse to learn to loop and get better at the game? I still won't forget about the feeling when they reverted the nerfs on the survivors and kept the perks on killers nerfed like Pain Resonance. Eruption nerf was actually justified, same with Corrupt Intervention, so it's not like I don't like all the nerfs they do. Anyway, I won't rant further, but I will say that if the community had been more respectful towards us killer mains and BHVR didn't always catered to the people that always cries nerf on the killer, I would have been on the road to be one of the world's best DBD Killer main on the Nintendo Switch, just to prove that it can be done when one learns to adapt to how the hardware works. But as a wise man has once said: "Such is life."

@@Haxx601 Pretty much, and the community was the tipping point for me as well. I even gave hatch to the last survivor when they gave me a close game or if I was feeling generous, and it counted as me being a "Merciless Killer" at times too with that kind gesture. But since they also changed that and I want to go for it, I have no choice but to 4k and that can be stressful at times if I were to play with that change (I quitted back at February of 2023). I think DBD can make a comeback, but they would need a big reset button, give the game a better engine, make survivors and killers more unique by keeping their perks to themselves, make more universal perks for both sides, and change the overall gameplay. Doubt this will ever happen, but you never know.

It's really fun seeing people who are new (as a player with over 3.5k hours). And you're so right about survivor being hard, it's actually horrible to play survivor the first few times. As a Killer you just go around hitting people, it's not hard to understand, even if you're bad at your Killer you can still just go around and M1 everyone. As a survivor you have to learn the counterplay for every Killer, every little mechanic, the map layout to know where pallets and windows are, which Killers not to throw pallets with and so much more, all while trying to keep you and your team alive is such a hard role when starting out. The payout is that it's the chillest role once you get the hang of it, and Killer once you play a few matches becomes really hard and taxing on your mental sanity. I'll subscribe even if I don't really know anything about you or what you do just to see if you play it again in the future! :) If you play again and need any insight I'd recommend you ask an experienced player instead of searching for guides, because people out there are so wrong about everything, it's crazy. Yeah this game can get pretty painful to get into, it took me like over 300 hours just to start to somewhat understand mind gaming and learning all the perks and survivor strats. Also it doesn't help with all the “rules” killers have to abide by like not camping or tunneling so it just makes playing the game kinda stressful or also how easy it is for killers to be toxic or ruin your experience. Playing as survivor tho with your friends just using some goofy perk builds is some of the most fun you can have in a Co-op game.

Idk if its coz I play killer a bit more but generally I feel like survivors are more toxic. Like having a whole SWF spam flashlights, tbag at every loop, DC when I down them once and call me shit in the Endgame chat has felt worse than the handful of times I've been tunneled or camped out. However I did take a break for a bit so missed the whole chess merchant thing so that might be why Oh and yeah the constant accusations playing as killer for being "toxic" coz you didn't let them heal or "proxy camped" a hook coz all 3 survivors were going for the unhook feels awful. Ig both sides can he as bad as the other and it's a shame the biggest thing ruining this game are the actual players

Used to play DBD, that guy with the nails is Pinhead, the Cenobite from Hellraiser. A Cenobite enjoys experiencing the stimulation of pain and pleasure, and they also get their pleasure when they inflict enough pain onto themselves, basically becoming masochist. It's a long story of you haven't heard of the film, but basically it's based on a novel written by a gay author where he goes over the top on how some people label people attracted to the same sex as sinners. The iconic line in the novel is also in the film with Pinhead saying "Demons to some, angel to others", with the former is the group of extreme Christians that follow the old testaments demonizing the community, while the latter are people like the LGBQT idolizing people like the author making a stand against the hate. I used to enjoy playing as him, as the story behind Pinhead being in the game is cool and hilarious when you know the lore, he's one of the few killers that's actually more powerful than the Entity itself but comes to the trials since he enjoys inflicting pain on the survivors and sometimes brings home a souvenir to have more fun with his victims, cucking the Entitie's lunch as a result. :P Cool to see you visiting the game, but do be careful if you decide to continue playing the game. It will tear your soul apart like how I tried to get good with Cenobite lol

Cool first Dead by Daylight video, good job on the win the first match. 🙂 A couple of quick tips: - In that first match were you couldn't find the last survivor, just look for the hatch and close it. Once you close the hatch it starts the endgame timer so, worst case, if you still can't find them either they're escape and end the game or they won't escape before time runs out and they'll instantly die. - Ignore those "unwritten rules". They're mostly just from people who are sore about losing one way or another. For example, "tunneling" is just hooking someone a couple of times in a row, which is naturally just going to happen when you play regardless. The great majority of complaints about "tunneling" are just survivors who are mad you beat them, it's as simple as that honestly. 🤷‍♂ (Except for the one about standing around a hook doing nothing. Not only is it boring for you, it's not even a good strategy typically, especially since if you are near a hooked survivor and no other survivors are nearby their hook timer is frozen and eventually they get to pull themselves off for free.) - You might want to play around with the custom matches versus bots to try things out a bit. The bots are actually pretty decent opponents, which make them good practice for new players, plus in the custom matches you automatically have access to every perk and add-on in the game to mess around with and you can pick the map you are playing on if you want. So it's a great way to see all the different killers and combos and such or to just walk around the maps getting a feel for the layout or checking out the artwork or practicing vaulting, etc. - At the end the reason Michael Meyers was just staring at you walking slowly is that's his ability. 😄 He can stare at people menacingly and it builds up a power meter that, when it gets to full, lets him instantly down survivors even if they're healthy.

Just FYI, tunnelling is when you camp somebody that is on a hook and don't let the other survivors unhook. You can continue a chase after they wriggle off your shoulders if you want to, but by that time, it is usually better to go and check on the generators and other survivors.
