Alright, so, you asked for feedback. My main takeaway is I really think you could use a script. This is just my hypothesis, but your style of commentary feels rather podcast-like, seeing the use of the word “like” very frequently along with your points being repeated/rehashed with slightly changed phrasing. Personally speaking, I would probably have titled this video “Reviewing Every Cookie Run Game” or “My Thoughts On Every Cookie Run Game” because there are games you could not play, such as Cookie Wars and Darkest Night. As a final critique, I think the amount of cookie/baking related quips detracted from your commentary at times. All that said, this is the first Cookie Vtuber Model I’ve seen, which is really neat, and your editing is smooth. Genuinely thought about making a video looking over all the games myself, but it’s such a huge undertaking. So pat yourself on the back for getting this video finished.

I hesitate to even call Ovenbreak an endless runner as the only mode that is endless until you get hit is Rainbow Mine which you need a key from Grand Champions League to play every 3-4 months, and few people get those. I refer to it as a "finite runner" since Oven Games has done some incredible stuff in the 5 years I've been playing to differentiate itself from crappy RNG generated endless runners with handmade stages and introducing TONS of clever ways of making new surprising challenging gameplay for a game with only two buttons. I basically dropped speedrunning to play CROB since it gives me a similar challenge to running NES games.

Also the limited time element of it being a live mobile game means you have short windows to grind and perfect and memorize maps over time, a thing that dragged me out of speedrunning was if I wanted to challenge myself I had to pick a game, have to put my camera on and stream, struggle with bad RNG or execution practice for hours, be social with chat. I just wanna compete and grind on my own time so it's way easier to get in a (cookie) run waiting at a doc's office or while watching streams/videos knowing I have 2 weeks to get top 100-500. Having a deadline not decided by me but by the game server lights a fire under my ADHD to get in a good score before reset.

This video is so good! Absolutely would love to create a cookie VTber model for myself. I've been playing off and on for like 2 years but really REALLY got into last September, and have since gotten caught up on the kingdom lore and have gotten into ovenbreak and witch's castle. AND OH Witch's castle is so great, and has so much lore potential. I absolutely LOVE tower of adventures as well, And not to mention all the little details in each game in this franchise. How everything is decorated to around a cast of 330 diverse characters each with unique designs and story (I'm trying to draw ALL of them lol i'm about 40/330 so far) This game franchise seems to be pretty highly rated, as you said it's won awards but STILL not enough love is given to this franchise, It is literally hand baked (pun intended) With love. I absolutely ADORE this franchise and hope anyone else gives it a go, as it's incredible. Love this video, it turned out really well made! Great work!

neat video to see! the only thing i want to point out is that ovenbreak 2009-11 isn't the current cookie run ovenbreak we have today. ovenbreak 2009-11 eventually became ovenbreak 2, and then cookie run LINE/Kakao. CROB came out in september of 2016, and had a global launch a month later, and is a successor to LINE/Kakao, in which it's something you left out in the video. even if LINE has been shut down for 6 years you can still play kakao with something like an APK! even though everything is in korean you can still find your way around certain things to still enjoy what came before ovenbreak. :)

Actually- to go more in depth. The first game to start it off was oven break. Which is birth of dozer and luckily not forgotten. Was just short levels. Most notably- able to go in the witch's fuckin- stomach.. to save ginger dozer. Aka Ginger brave's brother. Now friend apparently. The next 2 games were kakao and line cookie run. Don't know if there were any notable differences. Mostly just for Korea exclusive and such. Which you can play from apk. Though it has been a while so idk. THEN we have oven break. Where the cookies from kakao and line were moved over to it. As special cookies... which kind of sucks how to get them but- eh.

I played cookie run growing up, Cookie run Ovenbreak is when Cookie run became more "technical", me and my brother always joke about how these ability jelly score numbers mean nothing to us, the numbers are too long it looks funny. The first also my first Cookie run game is Ovenbreak, you can only use two cookies in the game, Dozer and Gingerbrave (brave cookie), Dozer only tied to the first level, he can't die from hitting obstacle, when reach the goal Dozer will get hypnotized by the lollipop and then got caught by the witch (shown in the credit). Later levels are all about Gingerbrave trying to save his brother Dozer from the witch, I only played the game on android, which means I can't play the "Innerspace" update, because it's only on ios. Someone made a fan remake, but I think it has a lot of problems. Line Cookie run (server closed)/Kakao Cookie run is when Cookie run became much more popular (not "Cookie run kingdom" popular, of course), it recently got an update and I was hyped, the game is like a much simpler Cookie run Ovenbreak (now I think about it… Cookie run Ovenbreak used to look just like Kakao Cookie run…). I played Cookie wars before, don't have much clear memories of it, but I remember people calling it "pay to win" at the time.

there used to be one called Line: cookie run (where devsister use to collab with them and its where I used to play) the only available one is I think the kakao talk version but it can only be accessed in korea I think... (both came out before ovenbreak came)

Some of my own opinions on some of the games since I feel just a week doesn’t fully do each game justice in terms of a more full review: Ovenbreak in its modern form has a problem with its main monthly story events being a repetitive format. This has lead me to only pick up the game very occasionally (such as when Cream Soda came out on it). For CRK, I feel the main elephant in the room for non monetization things about the game is the performance. For at least two years now the game running like garbage/crashing often has been a very common complaint about the overall experience. Witch’s Castle is a nice piece of art/story bogged down by gameplay that is RNG heavy and meant to drag you directly into the monetization more than other Cookie Run games. TOA is currently my favorite game in the series, yes it is grindy but I love the mechanics and overall gameplay loop.

@@SBerrioww I believe it is the first game in the Cookie Run series, and classify the games before it as the OvenBreak series, though Cookie Run for Kakao is very clearly an updated version of OvenBreak 2. I did not mention the hiatus for simplicity, and I don't think it had two updates per year, it had frequent often monthly updates in 2013-2016 but went on a hiatus and received yet another update around 2020 to add modern iOS support

m a f2p player i have had so much luck in crk i have been playing abt 4/5 months or so maybe 3/2 idk time goes by fast. I'm in dark cacao serv my luck is just pretty good I only have 3 or 4 more cookie to get 2 legendary and 2 super epic I think. My cookies aren't rlly ascended but i do have some stars. For golden cheese 1 star, dark cacao 3 stars (and he's awoken) but that's all my stars for ancients. My cookies lvls are pretty much maxed except for most epics, rares, commons bc I don't want to waste resources keeping in mind I can use the hall of ancient hero's.I do have school and I do have a job by the way so I do buy kingdom pass every ounce in a while, But i do need money so not all the time. i have gotten so far i have even made it to elite. I Just try to stay on my grind fr fr. I honestly think it depends on which serv tbh.
