I played every strategist in Marvel Rivals Season 1... here's what works

To all my cloak and dagger mains I got some stuff to tell yall. 1. You CAN break out of groots ult with your ultimate. You can allow yourself to get caught in it and then immediately start dashing. 2. When things are hitting the fan and it feels like everybody needs healing, swapping to clock and back to dagger can save lives. It seems to be a bit faster than reloading so keep that In mind. 3. For Your ultimate Eternal Bond (Dashing), each dash last 5 seconds so really put some thought into where you start dashing and where you end. 4. be careful using you ult reactively to Dr. Strange ult ( I learned this the hard way lol) 5. You can still be one shot in your ultimate, Magneto ult, Hawkeye, Peni’s spider nest and ult, and Namor ult (The center). 5.5: I good way to counter these counters is to use Dark teleportation to fly up in the air and then ult! Your ultimate will still show up on whatever surface is below you. I hope this helps and good luck on your ranked games!

Just a small tip for Adam too, his soul bond does apply a regen. When you pick people up you can use soul bond to help top heal them to full, this also helps when you need to heal yourself in a 1v1 and you have expended your soul links.

Genuinely think that Loki is the best support, it's just that 99% of players don't know how to play enough heroes to be able to make full use of him, to be able to consistently copy into a multitude of options to be useful. If your only play is to copy Luna ult, if you don't get LOS of Luna then you're fucked. But if you know a wide cast of heroes, you can pivot into using something else instead. Having a shorter Luna ult as an ability that shuts down most of the ults in the game on a basically 20 second cooldown while also being able to use Luna ult is SOOO underrated rn

Rockets healing buff and his revives every 45 seconds are genuinely strong. He’s my favorite support to play by far and he’s very hard to kill. The objective problem with him is the fact that he doesn’t have a defensive support ult which is the hard meta rn. But he’s definitely still a underrated and fun support

Lol no, he can easily get killed at higher ranks, simply because he has no threats on enemy assassins. Luna and mantis can 1v1 any enemy carry and probably win.

They definitely need to tone down the "invuln" Support Ults I think Rocket is really underused, and just kinda played like a healbot, but you can and should be playing him more like a closer range Baptise from OW But yeah, the never ending "No damage, no Ult, no play making" meta right now, is genuinely awful

@@SukoSeiti while I agree that he isn’t dueling assassins rocket can easily reposition to either get to his team for reinforcements or escape danger whenever they want. I play in GM/ eternity lobbies and good rockets always have an escape plan / are near a wall to dash boost off of and gtfo. But you’re correct rocket isn’t dueling psylockes like mantis is

For Invisible Woman, I like playing her when I'm going to have someone near me all match, like a Punisher / Squirrel Girl. Then I always have someone nearby to shield so I can stand in it to heal myself

One cool thing with cloak and dagger is that you can heal people going really deep since your healing can bounce off walls and "auto target" allies letting you heal people around corners etc

Most of the time you shouldn't do that. Bonce off wall doesn't have auto target. Too far away from friend, your other skill not gonna hit friend/enemy.

@miraichan5292 yea, its very gimmicky but i have saved way to many teammates in bad positions and when im running from spawn with it. It does have tracking even when bouncing but its really bad. I usually manually aim it and hope i hit something since since if it hits an enemy it heals AOE

I play a lot of Jeff and I think a lot of people get him wrong. His shift gives him some of the best survivability out of all the strategists. His flank potential is definitely high and not a lot of people focus back line supports with Jeff which is something he excels in due to his speed and movement. Love playing Rocket with Soldier or Punisher, specifically punisher because of his ult. Wait for him to use his ult then pop yours down and he can absolutely decimate any living creature in his area code.

I love me some Loki! Waiting for a friend to get into comp but Loki has yet to let me down. He has mobility, stealth, decent self sustain, and the ability to confuse enemies with a combination. Cloak and dagger, rocket, sue storm; I like them a lot but when I pick up Loki the worst thing of the match potentially is having few good copy targets, and that’s not Loki’s fault, I just need to get a grasp on more heroes. His only real weakness that I’ve seen is healing flying folks (iron man, storm, and I assume soon to be Johnny), and that’s assuming the fliers don’t recognize the difficulty a loki might have and get against a wall for them, or come down to the ground or that your other healer for some reason is also struggling with this. He’s one of the best designed heroes in my opinion, since I’m constantly discovering new details about him that make my plays on him that much more potent.

Luna's ultimate is just so exceptionally strong I can't believe it didn't get needed already. Duration and heals per second needs a nerf and this is coming from a strategist main

Definitely hope in a patch, they tone down the healing for the Support Ults, and im saying this as a Support main If you look at Overwatch, and Transcendence, Tree, Moira, Mercy, ect theyre definitely game changing ults... but they dont literally make your team invincible and turn off any kind of outplay and countering You can snipe a Moira, outdps Mercy/Zen/Lucio, CC before the Ult starts, destroy the tree, ect Theres way more you can do, they arent "win buttons", but in Rivals they are, you just turn off the game, and frankly... its GOATs shit all over again People are already running 3 Supports in Comp and its a boring miserable experience when playing for fun does not exist anymore Its just braindead and honestly boring, and i think it undermines the kit of other Supports too, especially Loki and Rocket Rocket is so good at playing aggressive and cleaning up kills and chunking Tanks, and Loki has basically limitless potential, now and in the future... But Rockets Ult isnt good enough for Ult countering meta game, and Loki just existing to use another invuln Ult

btw jeff's shift ability is faster than his normal walking speed with the bubble speed boost and also you can speed boost yourself while in the shift ability also the bubble speed boost last longer than you think so you dont need to spam that many out of spawn and get to to the fight with a low amount of bubbles also you can shoot bubbles at teammates to burst heal them

I like to try to put my clones on the high ground and stay on the ground behind my team on Loki. It prevents them from being fuel for his counter picks and gives me a reliable escape if I get dove. His Ultimate is inherently the best in the game because you get to choose any ultimate that is available and best for the situation. Every strategist is good, though.

I think C&D should have the fade even in Dagger form, changing and entering Cloak makes you lose that tiny second you have to save yourself from dangerous situations.

as a rocket enjoyer, he does do pretty respectable damage with his gun. The issue is that it's hard to aim and is often at a poor angle due to his height. The bullets just lag to far behind his crosshair for you to consistently hit moving targets from the range you should be playing rocket in. Up close he can melt tanks but you don't want to be close to enemies with rocket. Playing from high ground is great for rocket, but trying to shoot downwards often gets your shots blocked by the floor because he's so short. Maps that have good choke points that restrict enemy movement really help him since he can just fire into the crowd. If they tightened the projectile lag to be closer to the crosshair he could become a demon of a secondary or 3rd healer.

You don't pick mantis to try and heal bot and win a sustain war, you pick Mantis because your team is an aggressive damage heavy comp, like dive for example and you want to step on their throat with damage.

Luna and Mantis are just as unhealthy to the game as pre-nerf Hela and Hawkeye. If one of the teams doesn't ban them at the start of a match you have to pick at least one of them or you're throwing the game. Their kits are so overloaded. High damage, mobility, CC and broken ults. Why even pick someone like Adam or Jeff? C&D and Invisible women are pretty good too. It's kinda funny that all female supports are strong while the males are just mid.

Loki is kinda meh. People usually shoot your clones for ult charge, which means you get shit as soon as you telport. Since youre usually low health when you teleport, you die. Also, depending on other characters for a good ult is unreliable. Hela is the only thing that makes him worth it

The problem with Rocket to me is just that he's the most boring character in the game. His healing is really good and the revive is strong. But his gameplay is so lame, you basically just sit there and spam heal balls at your team. Another problem is his ult, it's just terrible compared to other support ults because it doesn't help keep you alive. If it amped healing as well as damage, it would be much better.

his ult doesnt need to be better. defensive ults need to be nerfed. also you can min max and shoot a ball then shoot bullets because your healing balls DO NOT stack. only one ball can be healing someone at once. continuing to fire balls does nothing but waste your ammo. still not super interactive but standing in the back spamming balls isnt rly the most effective thing

Respectively, you should play Rocket more aggressive Hes like a weird Baptise/Moira hybrid, shooting like 4 orbs and spamming them doesnt heal more, you can only heal someone with 1 Orb at a time, so you shoot Orb, shoot enemy, repeat But you should use his gun to help with the Tank fight, or finish off stragglers If you wanna be a huge psycho, you can go to high ground and deal with characters on their own, especially Moon Knight Hes so easy to kill, and has to basically waste an Ankh to deal with you which you can just escape from Agree on his Ult needed a buff, but id rather nerf the healing on the other 4 invuln Ults first and then see how he feels

Have had so many moments as rocket where I 1v1 another dps in their territory and win. It also isn’t about killing them. Like sure, it’d be neat if I kill a solo hawkeye on his high ground, but ultimately the most important thing is I pressured him into giving up his position. No one expects rocket’s gun to melt thru their health as well as it does close range, so usually they just get out of dodge if you get the drop on them.

I can push damage and get very easy picks with his burst + he's able to burst heal harder to heal dps (iron man, storm, black panther, wolverine, spiderman, etc) without even directly looking at them so he can help focus on the enemy more. Plenty of people have praised me for being godlike Adam when all i'm doing is just pressing my heal button every so often and people are getting blasted to full hp without me even knowing lmao. Trying to heal mobile characters on Luna was so annoying while also trying to keep the tank up. Mantis HoT is good for divers but I almost never actually 'save' anyone with it. They just have better ults imo. But OVERALL I think Adam is being hella slept on. I force people to win their fights all the time + getting plenty of picks of my own cause i can focus on just slamming the enemy.

@skylerfreeman1173 Luna healing mobile characters is relatively easy if you switch to shift ability/ or just good aim and she has higher damage then Adam if you look at the numbers and a freeze tht can easily pick off squishies and a 12 sec almost immortality field with a shorter cool down then his revival ...and her healing pierces allies so just get in position where u can heal more than 1 character..Adam gets outclass by luna in everyway..Mantis can sleep enemies for teams to get easy pics and to defend herself and Adam only has healing over mantis everything else mantis has no fall off of damage ...more ammo...better ult...better support abilities...a good mantis can do everything besides major healing ...loki is just crazy to much to explain why he outclass Adam...Adam has 2 heals and once them gone u can't really help yur team nomore other then damage ...yes his shift but thts not enough to keep an team alive if the enemy team is competent...u need defensive alts to hold or push objectives and needs more healing to out heal the damage being done ...Any character can be good in the right hands but compared to the big dogs luna, mantis, loki, c&d, and now invisible woman...2 heals is not enough if the enemy team is competent ...I had good games with Adam doesnt mean he's good...Adam is near the bottom of supports cuz it just simply gets to the point where why play Adam when u have betters supports tht have an overall bigger impact

In console as an Adam warlock main I notice alot of my team or enemies pick characters who don't really need to aim precisely. So when using Adam warlock I think of him as the third dps if its 222. I have a hard time with characters like Venom and Hulk who just run it down on me tho. On console, i see an enemy iron fist alot so I immediately switch to loki, rocket, or mantis cause Adam almost always gets bodied when they lock on me with me having zero mobility.

I'm a Rocket one-trick. He just has SO MUCH movement. I almost never die unless it's some source of damage that is impossible to miss like Starlord's ult or Scarlet Witch's regular attack, but even then I can run away a lot of the time. Just staying alive and keeping heals going out is really great, and every once in a while you can do a cheeky dive on a low hp enemy in some weird spot

As a Loki main I feel kinda out in the open with no lifelines when I tried Invisible Woman even tho pushing pulling looks so fun. With Loki I am always confident that I have my shift + invis and teleport to get out of anything they throw at me.
