Grasses are an important food for many animals, such as deer, buffalo, cattle, mice, grasshoppers, caterpillars and many other grazers. Unlike other plants, grasses grow from the bottom, so when animals eat grass they usually do not destroy the part that grows.[2] This is a part of why the plants are successful. Without grass, soil may wash away into rivers (erosion). Evolution of grass Graminoids include some of the most versatile plant life-forms. They became widespread toward the end of the Cretaceous. Fossilized dinosaur dung (coprolites) have been found containing grass phytoliths (silica stones inside grass leaves).[3] Grasses have adapted to conditions in lush rain forests, dry deserts, cold mountains and even intertidal habitats, and are now the most widespread plant type. Grass is a valuable source of food and energy for many animals.[4] Grass and people Lawn grass is often planted on sports fields and in the area around a building. Sometimes chemicals and water is used to help lawns to grow. People have used grasses for a long time. People eat parts of grasses. Corn, wheat, barley, oats, rice and millet are cereals, common grains whose seeds are used for food and to make alcohol such as beer. Sugar comes from sugar cane, which is also a plant in the grass family. People have grown grasses as food for farm animals for about 4,000 years. People use bamboo to build houses, fences, furniture and other things. Grass plants can also be used as fuel, to cover roofs, and to weave baskets. Language In English, the word "grass" appears in several phrases. For example: "The grass is always greener on the other side" means "people are never happy with what they have and want something else." "Don't let the grass grow under your feet" means "Do something". "A snake in the grass" is about a person that will not be honest and will trick others. All flesh is grass: Old Testament book of Isaiah, chapter 40, verses 6-8. Grass is a slang term for cannabis (pot, weed, or marijuana).

there was a 5.0 where i live last year, it wasn't anything serious but I live in a really old house with a lot of furniture, and during the few seconds of shaking, my lamp fell off my little table and scared me in the middle of an f7 run. I didn't throw then but i got disconnected pretty quickly after because it turns out our router which sits on the edge of a tall cabinet had fallen off. My party was pissed, and they didn't believe me about the earthquake until i sent an article from the local news

I must admit I was shocked that some small earthquakes are normal for you folks. I never experienced one here in Germany and I would be freaking scared if the ground suddenly starts to shake and you cant go anywhere to get away from it.

Little story: I was playing with my cousin when the 2010 8.8 earthquake in chile and I was in the epicenter of it. When it started I immediately went to go get my 7 year old brother. We had to evacuate the house cause we were vacationing in front of the sea also so we had to go to my uncles house. For the people that dont know a 7.0 earthquake realeses 1/10 of the energy of a 8.0 earthquake and it has 8.8😐. So yeah thats my story with earthquakes

skill issue i live in turkey and we had a 7.4 earthquake 2 weeks ago i was on hypixel skyblock in f7 i bought a carry and i wasnt gonna let that 2m go to waste (i didnt die neither in game or irl) (btw im not saying anything, its a weird thing but it isnt that scarry if u are used to small eartquakes)

When I was 5 my city in New Zealand had a huge earth quake 6.8 or so if I remember right and I still remember that day it ruined our whole city most the building went down and we legit are still rebuilding the city I remember being in school and the shakes were so bad we had floods and our chimney fell down we spent about 5 years in and out of houses because our house got red carding aka unsafe to live in/illegal and honestly it has giving me ptsd
