I remember my first round after getting fitted. Different weighted shafts had me guessing all day long and that was with no wind on a course I knew. I was happy with how I struck the ball but it took me a few rounds to get a feel for how the ball would react differently and some clubs I flew the green. I knew that would be the case but I took it hard. It was a good lesson on proper expectations. You have a good mindset and a great swing with club that are made for you. You will be a force on the course!
@brockrichard57112 жыл бұрын
Dealing with this currently… I am a 9 handicap and I shot a 101 my first round back with my custom fitted clubs. Such a draining day mentally. So tough to remember that you have the skill, the execution just wasn’t there that day. Onto the next
@seadonkey69132 жыл бұрын
@@brockrichard5711 if you are a 9 you have enough skill to bounce back! The 101 is a fluke! It was probably a full array of emotions from extreme excitement to disappointment. You’ll be lowering that handicap in no time I think!

Having followed you since the start of Good Good a couple of years back, I can safely say your mentality has definitely improved in a positive way. I feel like every time Micah's game starts coming together he changes something drastic. 1st his swing was dialed then did that swing change. Now he was striping it and got a brand new full set of clubs. Can't blame him too much for that one though, when a sponsor like Cobra come knocking you should def answer that. Just gonna need a bit more grinding again to get comfortable and confident swings with the new yardages/feel of the new clubs. With Micahs work ethic i'm sure it'll all work out and be worth it in the end

The cobra driver is a great club but I probably would have gone a different shaft option. Most cobra guys are playing that in the ventus black or tr. And he is way to good for the forged tec irons. They aren’t in the same league as his TCB’s for what he is looking to do, and I also don’t know why he changed out of that modus shaft which is built for that great tempo’d golf swing. The other fitter knew his swing way better. This guy was your standard fitter that says “i’m going to make you hit the ball 20 yards further and tighten your dispersion blah blah blah” and then fits you in the wrong set
@WilbertoCasillas2 жыл бұрын
@@theeyesurgeon1 one tourney is not something to make such conclusions. You honestly don’t know if this set is good for him or not. I’d trust a professional fitter over a Kyle Linsey from KZbin. Making a switch to new clubs takes time to get results under pressure, point blank period.

Micah it’s golf, you don’t owe anyone an explanation. Everybody that has ever played the game has days where they don’t play to their best ability, some more than others, and you fall into the category where it happens far less frequently than the average golfer.
