I Played Mario Maker 2 ONLINE In 2023...

One of the biggest points of excitement when Mario Maker 2 came out was the ability to play online competitively against other players! Sadly, while fun could be had, the inconsistent lag and level selections made the experience rather mediocre. Is it any better in 2023? Let's find out!

I was curious just how many frames Dave won by at 10:12 so I decided to check. 4 frames. There was only 4 frames between when he grabbed the flagpole and Luigi did.

If Luigi hadn’t twirled or thrown the spring, he would’ve won. Honestly, I think whoever was controlling Luigi was trying to decide if they should wait on everyone else, but Dave forced the issue.

I wanna know how two people got to the end of that clown car level. It takes a lot of skill to hop on someone else the entire time on a clown car, unless the other person found another clown car or a respawn.

Hey! I remember playing VS with ya at 0:47 in April. I just got the S+ rank and the superb suit for my Mii a few weeks ago. And yeah.. I agree that VS Mode in Super Mario Maker 2 isn’t very fun, especially with the rank system. The second I got S+ and unlocked the superb suit, I quit playing the main VS Mode campaign. It’s too frustrating to play with the rank system. I still play VS Mode with friends on occasion since there’s no rank system to worry about. You don’t happen to occasionally stream Mario Maker 2 VS Mode friendlies with viewers like Cave Miner does, right?

Id say wait, it'll save your sanity. Besides it costs $80 to get the full package and Nintendo hasn't fixed their online for years. I havent touched MM2 since 2021, I was 100 points from getting Pink S+ but stupid algorithm spams the same dogass lvls with terrible platforming design and even tho I beat some they give you little to no points but take an arm and a leg if you lose and not reach the flagpost in which not all worlds have. I lost alot of sleepnights grinding only to get so far and for what a silly color? DGR is my only escape to Mario Maker after Dashie quited. Mario Maker 1 was honestly better than 2 disregarding 3D world (which is slowpace) and Link Upgrade
