The MWIII guns are not just arcadey in how they sound and behave. The worst part is that they look unbelievable (in the wrong way). A lot of them defy the laws of physics, they wouldn't even function IRL. I can't suspend my disbelief to that extent. The "SVA 545", the double barrel over-under M4, or the F2000 with REMOVABLE STOCK (copied from Vanguard) they are about to add in the reloaded update... It just plain and simple sucks. I will be honest, what makes COD MW2019 different from MWII and MWIII (Actually it is MWII.I) is the gun sounds, graphics, realism, campaign and seasons. The Campaign was an extremely good campaign set in a modern era and we got back Price and Gaz and we had new characters introduced like Alex, Farah, Hadir and Laswell, the gun sounds were realistic asf, the graphics and lighting, don't even start me on that they were perfect but the dark corners and shadows not so much and making operators wearing dark clothes look invisible in the dark. It had operators which looked tactical and special forces and operators which looked goofy like the anime ones and haunting of Verdansk. The MW2019 story continued with Multiplayer and Warzone

But tbh, MW22 continues on with everything good about 19, if not improved upon them too. No comment about mw23 aka mw22.5, which was supposed to be dlc instead of glorified dlc, and maybe it did good things with its multiplayer (sort of, not really) but yes overall it was a mistake of a game with good cutscenes and story, but not better than either its predecessors in the same series.

What makes it realy interesting is that a lot of what makes this game good was accidental. The devs wanted a slow paced game ehere everyone had unique guns and crouchwalked everywhere. The combination of slide canceling (unintended) and the recoil of every gun being too low, even with stuff liek no stock made it way faster. With mw2 the same devs actually realised their vision. Guns were innacurate. Movement was slow. Gameplay was more methodical.

I was a bang average player at the time of MW 2019 (not that I've improved much since then), but I can't exactly put my finger on what it was about that game that encouraged a campy playstyle, and that was really frustrating for a casual gamer like me. Admittedly, MW3 is incredibly sweaty but the good thing about it is you're forced to constantly move around the map. Also I personally like the longer TTK of MW3 better than MW 2019 which, in retrospect, was too quick.

After finally caving and playing MW3 with my friend who hasn’t played a game since the Xbox360 days. I found that around 80 FOV actually works really well even after getting used to 110 and 120 I found myself going back down to 80 for accuracy as I like to use iron sights on guns that actually have clean sights like the MP7. Even on snipers I find 80 better, might be because I got extremely good at cod on MW19 and it’s just what I’m used to but 80 FOV works great on mouse and keyboard where it’s pretty easy to just look around more. On controller though, I get you.

Never thought I'd feel nostalgia for a game that only came out 5 years ago but its funny how that works. My first cod game was BO2 I played it all the way until AW came out in 2014 the only other cod game I have more hours in is MW2019. When I was 14 and 15 playing AW on my xbox 360 I would buy the old CODs on sale like MW3 and BO1 and play thru the campaign, at the time you could still find find full multiplayer lobbies. I reached max level in MP in every game from COD4 to BO3 before I stopped playing. When MW2019 came out I had been playing on PC for a couple of years so it was like a whole new world playing COD again. It's kind of a trip because some 15 year old kid who played BO4/MW2019 on their xbox one would be 20 now playing MW3. Just like I used to do with the old CODs maybe they picked up MW2019 to see what they missed out on.
