As a charge blade player, I totally understand why you swapped to a different weapon XD it's not as complicated as it seems, but there is definitely a learning curve to it

I will give it another chance. I think I got scared of the learning curve, but now that I understand the game a bit better, I think I can make it.

​@@KrinikTTV I love this weapon, but even as CB main myself, I couldn't get to where I am without KZbin tutorials. Also try out all the weapons in the training room if you haven't already. Happy hunting :)

@@casual_time_machine6536+ he's playing with mouse/keyboard which in my opinion is far more confusing and harder than playing with a controller. Mouse is only superior for gunner and even then it only make a difference for speedrun.

As a player with 1000+ hours (ls, gs and bow) Charge blade just feels like some weapon for war. Not a tool for monsters. Even switch axe is balancing on the verge. But charge blade is like "i am a paladin, goin to fight army of demons" Don't sell the hunting at all But ofc it's only my opinion

I started with Rise and I thought it was a bit boring, then I played World and holy shit it's a massive difference. No wonder people are coming back to it.

Charge Blade has a lot of buttons for its different functions, but people tend to oversell you on the complexity. The main learning curve is remembering how to consume phials to buff your shield, and that you can use the reload animation to buff your sword. Once you're past that you have quite a bit of freedom on how to spend those phials in axe mode, but from there it's like any other of the more straightforward weapons by being quite flexible and having a loose gameplan.

Some tips for you. Turn off auto sheathe weapons Turn off all camera tracking options Set camera view to close Get familiar with using the quest radial menu and assign the following items to it when you get them. Potion. Mega potion. Whetstone. Nulberry. Antidote. Flash pod. Dung pod. Ghille suit. Good luck hunter... And may the sapphire star guide your way.

Charge blade is a good, complicated weapon. I'm surprised thats your first weapon of choice as a first timer

Sincerely welcome to the series! I hope Monster Hunter brings you countless memories of fun, excitement, and joy, hundreds if not thousands of hours. As a veteran of the series my best advice to you is test out each weapon to see what fits your playstyle as each & every weapon feels very different from one another. The other advice I'm sure others have pointed out is careful not to suit up in the Gaurdian armor/weapons as a beginner. :) If you have any questions, feel free to reply and ask away! @@KrinikTTV Hey, as long as you're having a blast! It's more of a-- heeey we're trying to save you from hitting a wall hard enough to make you frustrated or quit. Lol Because end game/dlc expansion takes everything you learn and doesn't play around anymore. So being carried can sometimes have a chance to take away lessons that you otherwise would've learned. ♡ Duel blades are fun! I only have light bowgun & bow to learn left however last year starting learning Duel blades... yeah. They're so fun! Especially when dealing elemental damage. >:) I have a feeling you'll love the more explosive elements for Duel-blades in the future. Hehe. Happy hunting and happy new year!

Me watching you choose charge blade as your first weapon: oh no. That said its my favorite weapon and the combos may look too complicated but are worth learning so you can charge everything and miss the big attack the right way lmao. Also "shit" is one of the best items in the game, you can shoot it at monsters to make them go away

I finished the base game and want to try iceborne next. Ideally i would like to try another weapon since using the same one might be boring. The charge blade might be coming back!

@@Br0ck3n it is extremely fun and very satisfying. The only issue i am having is when the boss fights go around 30 minutes. Probably a skill issue tho

I agree with other comments, it is a learning curve but you find yourself quickly addicted. I am a newer player myself, recently got to HR and it feels like a whole different game and I am not even to Icebourne MR. I am a LS main but also like learning to use GS as a secondary because of massive damage output.

It's funny to see you picked charge blade up initially as I see that happen a lot, myself included. Cool big shield and sword seems simple, but then eventually realize it's one of the more complicated weapons in the game. Now I'm a happy hammer main that doesn't need that silly pink meat thing in my skull anymore. SPIN, BONK, SMASH

there's one particular weapon in the game that give me an addiction like no other in my whole 30 years history of playing video games. and it's True Charge Slash of GS.
