Your tale of woe has just lifted my spirits no end! If a good golfer like you can have a hole like that, I don't feel so bad about my miserable round this weekend. As an example, I creamed a drive up to the 150 yd marker on a long par 4. Was licking my lips over the 8 iron shot, which I smoothly shanked into a group of golfers on the next fairway, almost beaming one of them on the head. A complete disgrace!

Great punch shot out of that rubbish under the tree. A great little saying to remember when hitting any punch shot. "Swing slow and hit it low"! I love to use my 4 iron for my punch shots. I have 4 different yardages i can hit it! 1. I can get it out there at 190 yards normal shot. 2.¾ swing and take out about 30 yards. 3 choke down on the grip about 40 yards less. 4. Choke grip ½- ¾ swing for around 100 yards. Swing slow keep it low!
