In Vampire Survivors, you can combine each weapons with an empowerement. For example, not sure about it but Spinach+Axe. That relic you took on 2nd map, shows one of the combinations. When they both are level 5, the weapons change and become crazy. Also many more secrets in the game :)

Vampire survivors really is dopamine the game. It's very simple and doesn't require much thought. But seeing number get big and so many hit effects just makes our monkey brains light up. It gets crazier the more you play it and the more things you unlock. First run you really do only have a little whip that's strange to use. But 100 runs later you will be shooting laser guns that goes off like 10 times a second that hits an entire vertical line while lightning strikes everywhere twice, fire works going off every second as magic runes circle you keeping everything away from you. And that's just the base game. Add any of the dlc and the options for screen destruction goes up.

Vampire survivors you could EASILY sink like 200+ hours into and yet another 200 if you get the ode to castlevania DLC, it started a genre and BOY IS IT FUN probably one of the best games I've ever played and I have been playing it for god knows how long And for those who do have the DLC, play co-op with someone and play as Jonathan and Charlotte... for no particular reason

you can kill the death guy (reaper) after minute 30 in vampire survivors by building a very specific build that will slow him 90% of the time and give you a head advantage. the only downside is that almost all the items you need to obtain aren't in your regular level item pool but instead scattered around the map. start by getting Laurel and/or the Clock Lancet first thing after you start a new run, as all of this build is very tedious and requires a ton of levels to upgrade to max, then to evolve all components into the required weapons (infinite corridor amd crimson shroud). you can find a full strategy on youtube. after that, the real fun (and lore) of the game begins. good luck

If you keep playing i am your beast you can see where enemies are in the minimap, the red lights are the areas where there are enemies, also play post void, its also a fast paced shooter and it gives a lot of dopamine and its really really difficult

The void do be raining upon her heart. Game gets insane pretty fast; the monster level where you got destroyed is pretty much the one you start at in the hardest difficulty, Torrential Rain. Good luck if you ever try to 100% it, you've barely scratched the surface and there's content for literal days in there.

If you play more of The Void Rain Upon Her Heart, make sure you visit the option menu. You can change your charge shot type, turn on various meter and if needed they are various accessibility setting as well. The game is tutorial heavy early on because there are a lot of mechanics to introduce. There should be much less tutorial from now on. Make sure to radiate stuff and look at the info revealed. There are several pages for monster/gifts both for lore and gameplay. This game keep expanding in many and sometime unexpected ways. For now, you should try facing the final boss. Speaking of which, should a cutscene repeat, you'll be given the option to skip it. If you can't you might want to pay attention. At worst, you can rewatch missed cutscene. You might not believe it but the monsters do feel better after being loved. Keep in mind the battles and big flashy explosions happen in the dream world. 43:03 That's actually a good question. :D 44:38 That's also a good question. :D 47:39 Maybe you might want to radiate it? 49:08 Picking a level 3 monster with a 1 star gift instead of a level 2 monster with a 2 stars gift? That is a bold strategy for your first run. :P 49:14 Actually Venom Veyeral is a girl. :P 50:17 Um... I am pretty sure it should be obvious that Sentinel is a girl? XD 54:45 More seriously, for Synchon 2nd phase, you want to position in the upper left corner and destroy each part ASAP ideally using charging shot. If you can't, you have to move along the beams until you come back to the top half of the screen where you can hit part. And if you use a panic attack, reposition yourself in a part where you can shoot a part. 55:33 About the main character being afraid of trees, remember she can't fly. As for the forest thing, um... just keep radiating stuff.

A second post for Vampire Survivors. This is another game that keep expanding and expanding because the devs are a bunch of mad lads. I suggest being more aggressive in the early game. You'll need to pick as many Exp gem in the early game while the mobs are easy to get ahead of the difficulty curve. Your main goal is a stage is to get a good build online ASAP. On one hand, levelling up a weapon will make it stronger and allow it to evolve it. On the other hand, picking up a new item will allow you to secure it for your build. Knowing what weapons does is important. The whip is great at horizontal damage and has some power but it doesn't cover you horizontally and until you get a second projectile is a bit awkward to use. People have mentioned garlic. It's a great early game weapon for thrash mob but is weak and instead is more of a support weapon late game. I suggest getting more relics in the later stages. They'll expand on how the game is played. In case of doubt, look at the unlock list for objectives to complete, including new stages. I'm sure you'll want to reach the credits. Early on, the crown is bad but as the game progresses, it just keep getting better and better for various reasons I won't elaborate on but it'll probably be obvious at some point. And now, a suggestion : Copy Kitty. It's a platformer where you copy and combine powers to fight magic robots in a simulation with a ton of colours and explosions. Also, boss fights have unique powers to copy because the devs are a bunch of mad lads and the boss fights just get more and more epic in the end game and then there is an extra stage and an hard mode where the levels are remixes with new attack patterns, new bosses and even powers because there wasn't enough stuff in the game apparently. XD I highly recommend it.

Not that anyone would expect you to know what's good without googling or spending a bunch of time tinkering, but your early strategy of prioritizing mobility and as many weapons as possible before upgrading is the exact opposite of vampire survivor strats. That unlucky choice combined with the fact that you're expected to die the first few runs is why it was just frustrating.
