Freestyle 2 is basically my childhood and how I learned the importance of roles in basketball. The best thing about the game is that once you understand the importance of certain stats over others, you basically become a demi God. Guards both Pg and Sg obviously are better for perimeter being fast and good at passing, stealing, and shooting. Excel at isolation both on the offensive and defensive side of the perimeter. But they are terrible for blocking, rebound, and being weak in the post. Small Foward tends to be the jack of all trades just good in everything but not excelling crazily in anything. The only real con is they're not really outshooting guards on the perimeter and not getting bigger than bigs. Power Fowards are just monsters, able to dunk on anyone, as well as being a backup rim protector as well as glass cleaner should there be no center. Hell, they can even shot the ball here and there. They tend to be slow if not the slowest, and not exactly meant to be a ball carrier. Center is just the strong force that can't be pushed around. Great for pick and roll, strong in the box out, and great for chasing down rebounds and blocks. But they can't shoot the ball good, slow and clumsy passes, and the slowest of all positions. Then there are the extra positions. DG SW CT DG refers to a dual guard. Being one who combine a point and a shooting guard. They can bring the ball up if need be or chill in the corner if a 3pt threat is needed. However, due to smaller size than others, they're generally just another guard just with more offensive and utilization capabilities but the same amount of defensive capabilities. SW aka Swingman are essentially a Point foward or small guard. They can essentially move as fast as a guard while having the size of a foward. Generally great for catching lobs, iso play, and even being the ball carrier. However, they're generally weaker than a small foward, not as crafty as a guard, and definitely not getting rebounds over a big. And finally CT or Control Towers. These mofos broken the game. The capabilities of a guard with a Power foward or Center. A tower who can control where the ball goes. They can grab rebounds, block, dish dimes, iso, shoot, they're the nightmare of the game. However due to still being a "big" they can still be stolen from by smaller players and definitely not being stronger than the other bigs. However, they added archetypes to make positions more situational. Like guards being able to jump with bigs or bigs being able to keep up with guards. But in return, they may lose something in return. Guards would obviously give up their speed to be able to fight with a big, and a big would obviously give up some muscle to keep up with a guard. So honestly it was ahead of its time.
