I wish gyro had taken off and was the primary "assist" that controllers got and that aim assist was reserved for story games. As a roller player, it hurts seeing people in CoD and Apex who look like they've never held a controller getting easy kills because of how strong aa is. @@yumi.8484 i have only ever used the dualsense and the dualsense edge, and i use them both wired. all the testing i’ve seen shows wired to be faster and more consistent. i’ve never used one but i’ve heard a lot of 3rd party controllers with gyro have a “smoothing” effect. i know the question was about basic controllers but the ds edge should be everyone’s end goal imo, as you can rebind your paddles in steam/rewasd unlike almost every other controller.

i try to use gyro as much as possible, just have to be mindful of of your comfortable aiming area, almost like a mousepad. some people rely on stick more, but i generally think the more gyro the better since there's no awkward switching between the 2. your gyro sens/range will also determine how much stick you use in some capacity as well

I wish I could do this, I've reached the highest rank in literally all comp games and I'm just bored, I'm really interested in trying this (which I now have), but erhm... I suck and I just can't get my brain to get the analog + gyro aim and find the right settings (no longer play CS, but I tried for Spectre Divide). You should really also show how you do your settings etc. Let people know, if you wish for gyro to be more recognized, people need to know more about it and yes, I've seen the flickstick videos, but they are overly complicated and filled with too many things, it's unbarable for people new to this.

nah its because games don’t have decent gyro integration(fortnite the exception) as well as the fact that theres no advantage to controller without aim assist. theres crazy keyboards like wooting out there while you get the usual 70$ ps5 controller experience that everyone and their mom uses to play party games on, which is not horrible but it really isn’t on point with mechanical keyboards, so while gyro aiming is fun it’s not practical over mnk necessarily, equal at best
