Ok - I have a theory as to why this sounds like crap, and I’ve experienced this myself at shows - the people recording are too close to the stage and they are basically missing a ton of the range of the full audio. The sweet spot is typically by the sound board.

Guys. I hope the band can read this. I wish the best for any metal band. I always think whatever effects you place in recording . You need to place them live. Makes no sense that bands record voices with 20 plugins and then live they stick to reverb and compressor only. And that is what makes bands sound great live or not. When bands like jinger says that she does not sing octave notes in live performance when she is afraid to screw up. That makes no sense when we,the fans want to hear that. There is loads of choices when comes to live effects for vocals with midi options . Just a case of caring . That's all.
