Ummmm. You didn’t talk about projection mapping? I was thinking you meant you would show how you mapped out the zones. Loved what you did with easy to find, non-specialized products!

After making a 9ft projector screen myself I found blackout curtains worked the best and was almost perfect. Also maybe a windscreen wiper would suit your needs more, dc, high torque, silent low energy consumption, a cheap voltage regulator and a timer circuit. Prob cost $50.

For the AC wench the easiest would’ve been to add a relay and control the relay to turn on and off the wrench.

The issue wasn't turning it on and off. The issue is getting it to reverse. Reversing a DC motor is much easier

You actually could have gotten the AC winch to work with the Zen16 ... initially I thought that it was impossible, but then I noticed that they've got the two lower pins on their DPDT switch tied together, meaning that they're effectively using that portion of the switch as a single throw. This is lucky for you since the Zen16 has 3 relays -- you can use one relay to replace the lower pole on that switch, and the remaining two to replace the two throws on the upper pole. You'd have to use software to make sure that they operated in the correct sequence (as was done mechanically by the original switch).

Shwweeet. What projector did you use?
@billmeyers30583 жыл бұрын
Great work! If you still wanted to use that AC winch, two DPST (double pole single throw) relays in place of the up/down remote would allow independent up/down (and stationary) functioning. I'd be happy to draw the schematic.

Easier way with your screens... Electric screens then put an esp32/tasmota with relay in the remote controls. That will work with your existing smart home pi

Quick question--how did you get the Optoma GT1080HDR (or 1090) to work with the projector controls on FPP?
@BreakItYourself3 жыл бұрын
download the plug in "projector control" and get a USB to RS232 cable. Then you can use the script to turn on, select input, etc of the projector.
@chrisblum21943 жыл бұрын
@@BreakItYourself I've done that, but my problem is that the plugin doesn't have either of those printers (mine is the 1080) built-in and I'm not sure of which script/settings to use to get it to work. I've tried a few different ones and I tried asking on the forum but no luck yet. I actually started this project and bought the 1080 before I even found your 2019 video. Nice job! My house is mostly brick, so it's not too bright, but it still is looking okay so far. Your videos are quite helpful. Thanks

I much prefer the show WITHOUT the screens. They kind of defeat the purpose of projection mapping ... you're supposed to use the structure to your advantage and as part of the show.
@BreakItYourself3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I completely agree. The main issue is that my projector isn’t all that bright and the light dies into my brick. The projections are very hard to see which is the only reason I went with the screens. Maybe one day the cost of really bright projectors will come down enough to add to the display
@BurkenProductions3 жыл бұрын

It's amazing how YOU have projected your perception of $133, 000.00 being a ridiculous amount of money!... That's how I feel about what you already spent on one projector and one roll up screen!...
