I genuinely would take any of these other than the k cars and automatics, over any new car. 🤩 Save so much money in the end, time, in terms of reliability and how Straight forward most earlier honda platforms are in terms of tuning, comfort-driveability, and just overall SOOO many more smiles per gallon when it comes down to it. Interior design (IMO) has always been so sleek across all trims and models. Especially ANY si' and of course TR. I drive a 2000 teg GS (the non vtec) and despite the beautiful leather seats being ruined, tranny and motor mount bushings, almost the entire rear suspension, somehow my front inner fender wells and a couple other things, I wouldn't want ANY other vehicle brand to trust in terms of daily driving it, until I can (financially) build it. I work n a greenhouse (red sun farms) not 45-60 mins from Christiansburg.
@jaybizzle4208
@jaybizzle4208 3 жыл бұрын
Like my passion for any and everything honda, vtec, displacement vs simple flawless design in a much smaller, lighter, more efficient package, etc.... Is definitely the whole of my life and I want nothing more than to work/maintain a place like this or in reality, any garage setting. I took auto mechanics all four years of high school, welding 3 out of the four. ASE certified. This looks like a dream. Craziest part about this for me anyway, is I live an hour tops from Christiansburg, and I had no idea all of these classic hondas were here, this close to home. I am obsessed with any and everything JDM not just hondas and I for sure peeped alot of em. Cars I dream of (Seriously) 😂 cars I annoy my coworkers with jabbering on about useless information bc I work with alot of american muscle guys that drive boring cars but talk about the cars they use to have of course. Honda pro, this is a legit question for you. Considering my very very rough beginnings, and my passion for cars, nature, lust for something better than... Well simply not just my town Pulaski, look it up not great 😂 but Virginia in general (with an exception of VA beach), is just bland and commonwealth and very lacking in plentiful, opportunities should I set my sights on California, NY, Detroit, Texas, somewhere where the car scene is as apparent as the opportunities and I genuinely don't have alot of family left, I'm 23 next month, the 17th with no kids, but a pretty.... Boring on another level. Kinda life. Very inactive on any social media, literally, LITERALLY no social life. I just work, and come back to my apt. I fish, work out often like I'm in shape. But just overall I grew up way too fast and in turn, all I do is lust for success that my earlier years battling addiction, kinda hindered and even still I know I would have this passion for cars regardless of my upbringing. So I reckon what I'm asking is some car guy, life advice?

Was the same here in New Zealand in the 90's when we had all these cars as used imports. It was so bad they put through new inspection laws. At the time it was investigated on how many exporters were winding them back and how easy it is to do. Harder to do once cars moved to digital speedometers. Its very rare you will get an import with documents like service history's to support millage.

Hard to hide mileage changes in Japan since a car was inspected yearly or bi yearly and mileage noted, if you can see the auction sheet for the car and the mileage is listed without being noted as unchanged, it is legit. If you cannot see a auction sheet or inspection records from a car you are buying with 'low miles' it is possible it was run back yes.

@@davidvickers8425 for sure. We have no import restrictions on Japanese cars and have had all the JDM stuff since they were new. It is very rare that a dealer here will offer up any paperwork at all with a car for sale on a yard. I am loving that the USA are getting all these cars now though. Reliving my youth looking at the the mint cars going into the US market. Ironic we can no longer afford them. My Celica ST185 went from being worth $2,000 to $20,000 overnight.

Dude that 1970 Cadillac coupe de ville was silver with a black vinyl top. Super rare. Plus the 500 CI big block motor. Can forget the mention that motor is connected to the all mighty TH-400 Turbo 400 transmission. GM first produced this transmission for the 1964 Cadillac. And was used in muscle cars immediately after. Every big block GM muscle car had this trans as an option. Anyway back to Honda. Which I’m a fan of too. I know a thing or two about them. Here in Portugal all the CRX DEL SOL came in just 2 versions. 1.6 125hp and 1.6 vtec 160hp (VTI version). And all of VTI had that "electronic" roof.

I’ve got a real nice 01prelude, leather interior,5 speed sitting outside right now. It was made in October of 2001 so it’s gotta be close to one of the last Preludes ever built. Bought some brand new genuine Honda goodies for it this year, brand new genuine headlights, full set of floor mats from a Honda dealer here in Canada,still in original plastic wrap, don’t know how they tracked those down but they weren’t cheap, along with some other hard to find goodies for a 20 year old car. 😎. I used to have an 86 prelude SE as well, drove it to 450 thousand kms and got rid of it and bought a 92 civic SI hatch which I also still have 🚗

I also had an 87 2.0 Si It was red. It snapped the crank in half at 160,000 miles. I miss that POS

A lovely collection of museum worthy Hondas. It’s a shame Honda has no parts support for most of them.
