So the following week he had to drive 2 hrs to pick it up and then drive up to visit me (we lived about 2 hrs away from each other at the time and took turns driving to visit each other every weekend). My roommate had been sick for a while and at home, so she came back and wanted to go on a drive and she was acting weird and kept checking her phone, but took me down the canyon and my proposal ended up happening in a random parking lot in the middle of a canyon in winter haha my husband had photos of us and lights hanging in his trunk 😂 it wasn’t the most “perfect fairytale” proposal ever but it was cute and special for us

I just love how true to real life this proposal is.
