I have a 2020 touring , its fantastic ! Averaging 35 mpg in 12,300 miles . If easy on the throttle I'm in the high 30s to low 40s . and that is what the dash monitor is revealing. Bought it new , no oil consumption in between oil changes . One thing I was impressed with that you don't hear is the turning radius is super . Came from a 99 jeep Cherokee that took me many miles. Its an eye opener how the technology has changed/advanced and safety is so critical these days. I'm enjoying each and every mile !

Gump got farther up the hill than I thought it would considering it’s on all season road tires. Watching it pop up on three wheels multiple times and still going is still impressive for a minisuv. They are lots of fun on a backroad dirt road going flat out with all four tires flinging dirt.

Hi Sarah. I'm a proud owner of 2016 Subaru Forester XT in Quartz Blue Pearl. I'm glad that I opted for the Turbo model since this current generation doesn't offer it. Makes all the difference when it comes to power and acceleration. You were one of the reasons that inspired me to get one. Hopefully, Subaru will release a turbo Forester in the form of a Wilderness trim in the future.

I have a SH Forester 2.5 X 5-speed. It is on coilovers, rear lca's and other suspension goodies. Rides on 18x9.5 wheels with Falken Azenis RT615K+. It handles like a go-cart but is so slow it keeps me out of trouble with the law. Best of both worlds. Drives like a sports car but huge rear to haul stuff. Next upgrade is a bolstered drivers seat and STi 6-speed swap.

My wife has the Red Touring for all the safety features and the Memory Seats, which in 2019 was the only model that had them. Among the best cars we’ve ever owned. In the Northeast US, having at least 1 vehicle with some kind of AWD is very useful on the snow/slop front and seems like every 4th vehicle is a Subaru.

Well ... Subaru goes where the money is , l live in Quebec/Canada and we get butt loads of snow in the winter and with the right tires the forester is actually pretty effective for jumping snowbanks and staying on the road when it's slippery a/f so yeah , it's pretty popular around here ! 🤔
@thatpramzyguy3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely 100% agree with the review on the Forester. I picked up a leftover 2020 Touring model last year. Definitely had a lot of features and decently priced. The lack of a turbo model was quite the bummer. That was partially the reason for going to the Touring. Fill the void with gadgets. This is my 5th Subaru as it's hard to beat the AWD system. Living in a area that has snowy winters greatly influenced to go with Subaru. And to your point, Subaru does seem be trending in that direction that getting in long with the other manufacturers. It probably makes more sense on paper because it appeals to a wider audience. But that's not what made Subaru great. Won't hold my breath but would be nice to see it again. Also, I miss manual transmissions... 😥😥 BTW, love the styling of your Gump. Love that front bumper with the vertical spot door the fog lights. Not to mention it's a turbo model. I do love you reviews. They are not your normal "spew-from-the-brochure" reviews you normally see. Informative and entertaining.... A great combo.

All these compact SUV's need a performance model option. I've test driven the new Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester, Chevy Equinox, Toyota RAV4 in the last 2 weeks and they're all slow turd-mobiles. Pathetic levels of slowness. Granted, they're not meant to be sports cars, all I'm asking for is some zest in them to make them interesting and perform better in higher elevations. The CX-5 is my last hope with the 2.5T. I'd probably be happy is Subaru gave the current engine a boost to 210 HP as that would liven it up enough. Otherwise it's a cool little SUV.
