I put too much extension on one lens and its maximum focal point was shorter than the dust on the glass. I could only focus on the tiny pieces of dust on the glass lol. Took some off and then I could focus at 1cm, 2cm... distance and actually take a photo lol

It's called a tripod. A must have for ultra shallow depth of field macro photography. Also, using powerful strobe lights to jack-up the f-stop and reduce ISO/raise shutter speed. May want to look up videos on shooting macro.
