THIS comment! Absolutely - I haven't watched TV since 2015, and there's no such thing as RTV nowadays, just egos competing for fame without any real talent. Wildlife footage is the realest thing we can watch, there's no lying in animals, no false personality, its 100% authentic. Just a joy to watch ❤ Kudos to the hard work of kind souls like Lesley and Jamie who bring us this amazing window into the unseen world of nature 😇

*l have always had a soft spot for Chickadees.* They are plentiful here in Winter as l feed all the birds. They are one of the few birds that actually _"look"_ for me when l exit the house - especially if the feeders are not full _(no matter WHAT time of year!)_ They will "buzz me" - nearly hitting me as l exit the door. (And even had a few "tap" the window if I'm late coming outside.) My son was astonished when one day - as he came to visit - the Chickadees landed on his shoulder and hat....looking for me (and food!). *He said "Mom! Who ARE you!?!* _Gotta love the Chickadees!!!_

Thanks so much Lesley - loved the excellent video - beginning to the end when all 6 fledged👍 If mom was lunging at and keeping danger away at night - it couldn't have been another bird as they sleep at night. Maybe a possum or racoon (if they could possibly climb the poke or jump from a bush onto the top of the house and peek into the hole from above) - or other predator you may see at that time. They are so cute! I guess they'll stay in the area permanently or until they fly to their own territory? Many types of conures (parrot) do the snake dance too. :) - Stephanie

The Jays in my neighborhood are numerous and respond to every Hawk call. Every time you here a Hawk, by the time you get outside, it's probably one of the Jays trying to locate the Hawk that you will find first. Keep up the good work. Peter Peter Peter!

I like how the adult knows not to feed the last fledgling inside the nest.

From my 2nd grade class in Mendocino County, California: My favorite part was when the eggs hatched! I liked it when the birds started to fledge because it was nice to see their wings, and to see them start a new adventure. I liked when they found the house, and when they laid the eggs. I liked the part when the chicks started to fledge. I liked when they left the nest. My favorite part was when the parents were building the nest, and then they tried to scare off the predator. I liked the part where the kids flapped their wings really fast! I liked when the mom was doing the snake display. I liked when the father brought over the food. I really liked the part when it showed the video of the birds flying out. I liked when they were growing their wings. It was funny when they ate the poop!

Absolutely delightful! I love your perspective on this minor miracle, going on everywhere that birds are nesting. So easy to take it for granted and yet look at all the work the parent birds put in, including defending their brood. This is what makes Nature a source of infinite wonder for me.

Loved it! I've had some every year in different Houses. They change every now and again. I love them. It's been ten years at least. I never want to leave!

😂 the last one was dreading the flight (like me) but when pops came with grub then left with it! So literally a motivational move - birds are really smart so if someone calls you a bird brain tell em thanks!

Nothing cuter to me than baby birds especially baby chickadees 💗 it was really cute when they were pecking the box. We have some in our rehab clinic now trying to do the same in their cage! Thanks for the awesome video!

I know, the adults are cute as it is but then the baby chickadees are just ridiculously cute. I'm glad you found it sweet of them pecking at the box, haha! I loved when they would do that. Aww, I'm so glad you have some in a rehab clinic, wishing all the best to them. Thank you for the nice comment. Have a great new week ahead

Chickadees are my favorite bird in my area. They deal with harsh Wisconsin winters by which I offer them black sunflower seeds and have had them nesting in the bird houses year after year. Thank you for this Very good video

I enjoyed watching the "snaking" defensive move, hadn't seen that before. I also really liked watching the mother dive into the nest with her but up in the air lol, so cute. Watching the fledglings flap their wings and landing on each other was hilarious! Thank you for the great content

I have a bluebird box and am always invested in their wellbeing, over which I have little control beyond precautions of placement, baffles, etc. Glad I'm not the only one. ❤

What a cool look into the goings on in a nest box! Many years back we tried to peek into one, and a titmouse did such a good snake we lept back in fright. Thank you Lesley.
