Thanks ❤for sharing I started as an LPN back in the day love how open and honest you been this definitely helps so many nurses dealing with the same issues dealing with toxic people I experienced my first burn right after post covid I really wish you all the best I also have a channel that talks about alit similar problems you are not alone

I’m one of the oldest nurses on my unit. Because I’m not married and my kids are grown with their own families, management seems to think I don’t need the family holidays or weekends off. I might work either Saturday or Sunday every weekend but others don’t work any. Seniority means nothing. Nor does just plain fairness in scheduling

I 10:35 worked in the county jail system. Although a very stressful environment r/t to the clientele, most nurses had each others back. I worked early on in med surg, the emergency room, pediatrics, that was by far the most toxic work environment r/t staff interactions. I absolutely loved every job, I love nursing. Who would know the people you work within such a caring environment would be so hard to work with. This is a reason for the burn out for me.

New Subbie alert 🚨. I’m a LPN and I understand exactly where you’re coming from. I realized this past fall that bedside is no longer for me. And thank you for mentioning the politics. I plan to do a video on this topic as well but you said everything that I’ve been feeling about healthcare is a Business and the big corporate ppl do not care about the ppl or the employees. Corporate just want the money and that’s what turned me away from healthcare. Thank you for this video. You confirm everything that I’ve been feeling

Thank you girl! For a long time I thought I was crazy, like am I being dramatic?! But NO…I definitely knew it was time to leave, I was ignoring how I felt for too long. I’m looking forward to your video as well! 😊💜

I am also pro personal freedom like you! Bodily autonomy. I refuse to give anyone control of the body God gave me. I too was disgusted with mandates for healthcare workers and I chose to retire. But I do love helping patients so I have now started working PRN as a home hospice nurse and I am happy to contribute in that manner. The end of life deserves as much care and concern as the beginning of life. ♥️ thank you for your video.

I'm an LPN and I'm looking to Exit bedside also..currently on a med surg unit and working PT in assisted living(office position). I like my PT job more than my full time lol
@lynettawalker6438 ай бұрын
Girl it’s really the best decision I’ve made! Working in an office setting is definitely less stressful, I say go for it, there’s so many opportunities outside of bedside nursing, follow your heart and go with your intuition!

What if I have only been doing this for a little over a year? I’m already SO burnt out I can’t do this anymore. I just can’t see myself doing this for another 10+ years. I’m just tired and ready to do outpatient already lol
@lynettawalker6435 ай бұрын
Outpatient is a way better experience than bedside nursing, there are so many options other than bedside nursing, even work from home telehealth jobs are out there! A year of experience is enough, my best advice is to trust your instincts, you know when it’s time to move on. Look for nursing positions through insurance companies as well, don’t limit yourself!

How long did you work PAT and why did you leave? PAT nursing is an area no one talks about or knows about.
@lynettawalker6436 ай бұрын
Hi! So I worked PAT for a little over a year, I liked working PAT, but the company I worked for didn’t have the best system in place, so it was a little unorganized and made the job more difficult than it should have been so that’s why I left. I definitely will be making a video about PAT nursing since there’s not a lot of information about it out there! It definitely has its pros and cons.
@glassgloss6 ай бұрын
@@lynettawalker643 Thanks for the reply. I would love to hear more about PAT and how you transitioned to medical review. I never heard of medical review.

Why was there no chance to rotate holidays and weekends? Thats only fair. And that’s how it’s been every job I’ve had.
@lynettawalker6433 ай бұрын
It honestly was just a bad company that took advantage of their employees. They were understaffed, had a high employee turnover rate and treated the employees that they did have unfairly.

What made you leave the ER? I just got hired as an ER nurse because I can’t do the large patient load in SNF mixed with overall toxic environment.

@@gabriellehooks3982 I would suggest getting as much sleep as possible during the day so you can have a good amount of energy for your shift. I worked night shift for 8 years so I know it’s difficult. Good luck with everything! 😊
