This video just shows he has a ego like the video he stopped mowing a person's yard because they put things in there
@CopperCreekCuts3 жыл бұрын
Please timestamp the point that showed my ego rather than the business/personal reasons I dropped it and I would be happy to discuss further. The example you mentioned (dropping someone because they added a trampoline, new gate, and patio furniture that physically prevented me from getting my mower in the back yard) was a business reason, as I explained in the associated video.

Think about it.....they obviously don't have day jobs and aren't the type of people who work well with others and do teamwork...they likely are driven by the power of being in the HOA and like business owners they don't like to get feedback or take instruction - you can't tell them anything. I never once thought you lazy, you know how a business runs to make profit, that's in your, and your families best interest. The ones who put you down for your methods is one who hasn't mowed much, probably just their own yard. My husband does our yard and he uses the equipment that helps more so it doesn't reek havoc on his body for the next 2 or 3 days after. Judging a person's way of doing a property, doesn't make sense. I do like watching your videos and seeing the techniques you use. The humor with it is fun.👍

Running a similar business to you in Australia I understand all the points you've made in this video. It shits me to tears though when you genuinely love a job but lose it to a change of management who really doesn't understand what efforts you are putting in above the cheaper contractor. I myself have pretty much given up residential jobs to take on commercial contracts as there is a lot bigger profit margin and most commercial contracts aren't looking for particular results. They don't care if the shrubs are round or square. As long as they are tidy and kept tidy.

I didn't need the rest of the video. Obviously, anyone calling you lazy has never done a day of physical labor and how physically and mentally exhausting it is. The hardest thing to learn in business is that there is such a thing as bad customers. It doesn't mean they are bad people, it just means that they are not a good fit for your business. One of my own businesses got attached to a customer who took up a ton of our time, but didn't generate much revenue. You have to get rid of those, they will just consume too much of your time. Saying "no" to money is really hard when you need the money. But, I can say that any successful business learns to turn down customers who don't match their business. Good job!

I may be only a kid but my dad owns a business and he talks about it all the time, so I get where you are coming from. I think you are making a great business decision and personal decision. You shouldn’t keep doing something if it’s no longer efficient or what is right for you. If you want to have a more flexible schedule then that is good because you CAN do that. Maybe before you couldn’t but now you can and you should. Giving yourself a more flexible schedule is giving you more time for you and less time on work even though you are still making money, still working hard, and still doing what you enjoy. I hope this helps, as I said I’m a kid and I am not good at this motivational stuff but I love your videos and make sure to do what is best for you.
