acha cycling main aik concept hai drafting. The guy at the front has to generate more power to ride at a certain speed, the guys right behind him go the same speed with less power. this is because the guy at the front faces air resistance and the guy behind him stays in his slip stream. I think this will work for electic cars as well. it's very dangerous of course (you'd not be keeping a safe distance) but scietifically speaking this would work. try it.
