'I ran a cannabis farm from my council flat' BBC News

The number of police raids on commercial cannabis farms has fallen by over 17% in the last year, Freedom of Information figures suggest.
Jamie Barnes, from Dagenham, was convicted in 2015 of cannabis cultivation after he grew the drug in his council flat. He was given a suspended sentence and probation. He told the Victoria Derbyshire programme he was more worried about the prospect of being robbed by fellow criminals than being caught by police.

Idiotic question from the BBC. I paraphrase "Do you ever worry about the moral aspects, of effectively becoming a drug dealer?" Perhaps this would be a fair question if you also asked this to every supermarket, corner shop, off-license, bar and nightclub in the country, all of whom deal the harmful drug we know as alcohol. It is mere hypocrisy to criticise the selling of cannabis but not to do the same for alcohol. The latter is far more harmful.

Living in Canada that has recently legalized Cannabis, this just seems to highlight the arbitrary nature of drug laws. I’m not a cannabis user but I’m more concerned about putting people in jail who are violent dangerous child molesters rapist etc. burglars etc. someone who grows a small amount for them selves I don’t really care or see is a big deal.
