Congratulations on completion of your full marathon with such an excellent race time. Your video has captured the delay and confusion at the beginning of this year SCSM, rain and thunder, wet road surface, congested road with full of runners well. It is an all rounder coverage from the perspective of a participant. Thanks!

Congrats! I did the SCMS half marathon back in 2019 and know how hard it is to run in tropical climate, but it was still a lot of fun. Just wish they had kept the race in the evening.

Hi Aaron, good day. May I ask you a very trivial question? Does putting Vaseline on between your toes help to prevent blisters from developing? Or, it may serve for other purposes? I am just curious and may try doing so next time if have to run under a wet weather. Thanks.
@aaroiseverything2 жыл бұрын
had toe blisters between toes before. so it was just a precautionary measure

@@aaroiseverything I think you have just provided a solution to my problem for this wet from the beginning SCSM 2022 race, running the whole route with a pair of wet running shoes with soaked socks. Under dry condition, this blisters issue had never been so serious before. In return, I share this self-discovered remedy with you: I found drinking HSC Sparkling Oldenladia Water can drink 325ml after running 42km help to flush off the lactic acids accumulated in our muscles during long hours of strenuous running and it helps me to recover very fast this time. I can walk normal the next morning and therefore I went to visit Jurong Birds Park straight, arriving there before 9am. I saw your made a very short video recording from your back about limping while walking after completing the full marathon this time. You can try and I hope it helps. I drank 6 cans after this full marathon on the same day. Drinking self-boil old ginger water will be much more effective but a bit troublesome, have to prepare the ingredient and do the boiling after the race. Ginger is not suitable for people with HBP too. Thanks for taking time to answer my question. My sincere appreciation again.🙏🙏🙏

@@TheBenz99 haha wow!! thats really fast. i also didnt train much for the marathon hehe
@TheBenz992 жыл бұрын
@@aaroiseverything You have cycled for 3 hours the day before you attempted this full marathon and you cycled from home to Singapore Flyer before the FM race too. That is quite an amazing stamina that you have got. As an experiment, I ran the 10km race on 03/12/22 (Saturday) followed by FM on 04/12/22 (Sunday). I got blisters problem this time but regarding muscular pains after FM, I really recovered well within 20 hours. I could walk normal the next morning upon waking up from bed, that amazed me a lot too. I will try again next time to make sure it really works well for me with this method of drinking Oldenladia water. I have tried boiled ginger water before, it worked well for me. I will definitely try applying Vaselin to my toes too to avoid any blisters issue for future marathons. Thanks for your sharing. I have been practising continue to sway my painful legs straight after completing the marathon and avoid sitting down straight away. Maybe this helps too for fast recovery, I think.
