I Ran the Pit 1000 Times - Diablo 2 Resurrected

I ran the Pit one thousand times in D2R!
FAQ's:
This was on softcore, single player (players count is in the top left, 3)
The Pit became terrorized three times during these runs
My average run time was 2 minutes and 3 seconds, for a total of 34 hours and 10 minutes
My magic find is displayed throughout the video on the top left of screen
Drop odds are calculated using MaxRoll's drop calculator with whatever magic find and players count I was on at the time, and calculated from whichever monster dropped the item
I used the recent trades tab on the website traderie to determine the value of items (not affiliated). I was only looking at softcore trades on ladder (late in season 5). With some of the rarer items, it was hard to get a reliable value because they are traded so infrequently, so take each value with a grain of salt. I only included drops highlighted in the video into the total value, not every item shown in the summary table at the end. If you have other thoughts on how much you think a particular item is worth, I'd genuinely love to hear it in the comments, I'm constantly learning from you guys!

Fortitude also has a large variance of how much life per level you get, I think you got the max roll which is 1.5 if I recall correctly

Yes, balance of items goes a long way to making the game better. I was a dota player for a very long time and then i played dota 2. The fun thing about that game is not the repetitive nature. But rather the updates that came out every month or so. Ranging from item changes, to completely new characters to play. Imagine if D2R adopted the same mentality.

Pretty uncanny you finding Steel Rend and Arachs. I found them this weekend in pits too. Was running my Bowazon with zero magic find looking for runes. Found my last 3 Jah there. Just looking for the elusive ber and zod now. Been magic finding on my pala for about 2 years and never found an arachs lol. Found a Azuwrath, whisp projector and metal grid with 0% mf too. This game really is crazy rng!

A few things: - You gotta watch the video multiple times to find all the small little details Schmuck put in! 100% worth it! - Last night (to German reckoning) Mephisto was terrorized. In about 55 minutes I have found the unique Hydra Bow - Windstorm and the (absolutely useless, but unbelievably rare) Ogre gauntlets - Steelrend. And some other less interesting grailers. yeah, I think it's hard to calculate values of non perfect rolls. The loss on value is ridiculous at times. You found a 17 life, 3 all resist SC and estimated it for Ohm. I once found a 20 life, 4 all resist SC and people told me it's shit because it's still not perfect :( ... took me a while to sell it to the highest bidder: got a Vex.

I've always been confused by ethereal items.. why are they so valuable if you can't repair them? I haven't played d2 but enjoy the contents :) Also, love these types of videos, cheers.

Completely fair! So off the dome there are three main circumstances when you want an item to be ethereal: 1. If it’s an item for your mercenary, because items on mercenaries don’t loose durability. Therefore, you get all the benefits of an ethereal item (higher damage, higher defence, lower requirements) without the drawback 2. If it’s an item that has a mod that replenishes it’s own durability, is indestructible, or if you intend to put a zod rune in it making it indestructible 3. If it’s a caster weapon that you’re not actually going to swing at people with (so it’s durability won’t go down), people sometimes prefer ethereal here for the lower stat requirements, but it’s mainly for the style points
